SPLAT

They collided with the pavement, red sticky fluids spattering around them. The impact (they had dropped in from orbit) had completely been absorbed by Tainted energy, which manifested as the thick red globby fluid. Revenge stood tall, his ivory robes untouched by the fluid. They bore his emblem, an elephant skull, proudly on the back and front. Behind him rose a tall, dark, and beautiful woman also wearing white robes. In addition to the black emblem, she bore Red badges on her sleeve. The symbol of Hate, whom she was a steward of.
Neither of them had ever been here before, and were unsure what to suspect. But they repressed these emotions, putting on exterior facades of calmness and giddy anticipation. They were going to Insanity's Ball after all, and they were here for business.

Best appear at ease.

That place was in full swing. Music, dancing, and food was abundant. However, amidst the celebration, a path was cleared as Insana Primoris approached the visitor.

Revenge strode through the path, Farora hooked in his arm. He approached Insana without hesitation, and gave a brief, courteous bow.
"Insanity, my old friend. I don't think we've met in these forms before." The dark figure said. The words didn't seem to come from his physical mouth.

Revenge took one drawn out glance around the room, soaking in the atmosphere and the many party guests. Several of them stared at him curiously.
"Can we move to a more private setting my old friend?"

"Of course." he nods and leads him to the nearest room. "I wont be but a moment, Mikami!" he called back to Tera. Once inside the room, the door slammed shut, and a purple-ish hue lighted the room.

The Prophet gripped Farora's hand and squeezed it hard. It wasn't a romantic gesture, rather a warning. Don't get into trouble. it said. He followed Insana fluidly, his posture and mannerisms too perfect. He was the uncanny valley.

They entered the room and he faced his fellow embodiment in all seriousness.
"Things are heating up. There are rumors of war, and the first shots have already been fired." He started out.

Realising that this wasn't a social call, Insana sighed and his cheerful smile disappeared. "Against who... And how is Dementia involved."

"You aren't. Yet. You do not know me to mince words... Although," He remarked with a hint of amusement,
"When you knew we didn't use words at all... Nevertheless, we've had a professional relationship. I convert some to your side, you have a sent a few my way. If this war heats to the size we are foreseeing, there will be many in the wake for me," he said, with emphasis, "and you, to feast on." He paused, waiting for his words to soak in before continuing.

"No. It is just the mortals. They wish to overthrow the Anrufe. With our help, they will. The Anrufe have held too much too long. I think it's time we stepped in for the sake of our subjects. This is what we need now my friend. Thousands executing our wills, seizing revenge and going insane. It could all be ours." He said with satisfaction.
"No Embodiment has made a move this bold in quite some time. Our kind will not suspect, and with the many numbers we will gain... They will come to fear us."

"Hmmm...." She stared long and hard at the bottle, as her mind wrestled with the decision.

"Revenge... You know as well as I do that the ancient laws prohibit our involvement with mortal affairs. Especially in situations like this." he said. His eyes lowered. "And it would also affect Skye.." he said quietly.

"I can understand your shock about Insanity speaking of law, but you know the penalties of breaking them..." he said grimly. "And of love, what about it! I've lived a very long time. I think I'm entitled to love atleast one bloody person, Revenge."

Revenge crossed his arms and stared judgmentally at his fellow Embodiment.
"Exactly. You have lived a very long time. We both have. You should know by now "Love" is just a prelude to us both. I expected more of you. The penalties? Who rules over us? We are Gods! The Others won't interfere, and if they did, we could beat them. I came here seeking an ally on an ambitious expedition. We could change the dimensions Insanity. Together we could be something greater then these worlds have ever seen. Was I mistaken in presenting this offer to you?" Revenge glared at him with burning intensity.

"You no longer know what my wants and desires are Revenge." Insana said solemnly. "Skye has made me into a new man. I used to want vengeance on the people that have forsaken me, and forgotten my importance... but she has shown me another way." he looked down at his friend wearily. "You need to understand this Revenge."

The room went completely silent for a while as Revenge paced slowly around the room.
"You are Insane. But not in the ways of the past." He stopped and looked upon his old friend.
"When you come to your senses, call on me. You know where to find me." He turned, hardly hiding his contempt, and left the room.

Farora had become the life of the party, half way through the bottle of champagne and was getting rowdy with some of the guests. Revenge's blood boiled in horror, and he suddenly split into his three form. Misery and Blame teleported away in wisps of smoke, but Rage remained. His muscles bulged with anger, and he let out a roar as he charged like a bull.

He crashed through guests until he grabbed his viceprophet. As he tackled her to the ground, they both vanished in a wisp of red smoke.

"I think you upset him, Insana." A female voice called out from behind him. He turns around to see Countess Tera Mikami step out of the shadows.

"Evesdropping?" Insana asked.

"You know me.." she replied. "Insana, you know i love you, right?

"Yes Tera." Insana says, suspecting a lecture.

"And you know that I'd never lie to you, or lead you in the wrong path, right?" She asks.

"Yes." He says again.

"Then please take my advice... Don't get involved with Revenge. He wants to play off of your own want for it. I know he's your friend, but don't even mull on his offer. Just walk away." She said to him, like a concerned younger sister.
