I sort of feel done with most of my stuff. Like, everything I set out to do on SP has been completed.
Faotemaru, my main guy, after his very first post in the OK finally grew and blossomed into the climax I had hoped for, the end of False Heaven and his rebirth as an Embodiment.
Novierians, after a unseen fall, left a bittersweet ending for the last of them, Synthe, as a hermit, forever wandering the universe looking for the new Embodiment of Heat to answer his questions.
These two concepts were my main driving force. There was a reason I never bothered with territory acquisition, because I wasn't interested in that. I started a story for these characters and I intended to finish them, to see them through to the very, very end. While you could make an argument that I still have things to do, like mess with the Solstici or finish what I had for Zerker, and even finally do the whole Space Pirate thing with Synthe. But to be perfectly honest, I feel I made them to relieve what boredom I had after finishing up Faotemaru and seeing to the last of the Novierian race, Synthe. And after the event (No, I'm not complaining!), I realized that I didn't want to do anything else with Synthe, despite the super long post I made then. I felt his whole story was finished from there. There's just no motivation to the rest of my characters anymore, and I feel like I've reached the very pinnacle with some of them.
Plus, another partial reason I made them was so people had some extra races to play around with, especially new members if we ever got any, but no one jumped at those opportunities.
No, I'm not quitting SP. Far from it, but I really hope this explains the severe lack of posts coming from me. And I also want to apologize to anyone that has a thread with any one of my characters (Definitely you Jeebus, in 'All Life, Shine.' !) for my super slow posting speed.
Maybe I'll make some other character, or maybe I'll actually get into the whole territory acquisition thing. But when that happens, I'll probably lock all my old characters so I don't feel obligated to keep up with them any longer. I do feel Zerker can go much further than he already has, and Yggatte could definitely do some more development, so maybe I'll just start them all over again. Yggatte was in an event, but he never made any sort of impact to it: ever.
I do want some suggestions though, as to what I should do from here. Just don't involve Faote and Synthe; they're practically my children with how I've treated their growth.
