A Familiar Place
« on: August 31, 2012, 07:34:59 AM »
The moment Hell had began to fall apart, Ezael who hand been wandering around lost in an attempt to find where he was had been taken to by mistake, had been pulled away by force to a place of safety, a place he had never knew, yet somehow it knew him. A place of darkness, the place known as Nox, the original coporeal form of their father soul.

With him, Kotah had also been pulled, the two brothers ending up together in the  pitch black darkness of Nox. True, this could not be the same Nox that had been Koty's soul, as Koty was dead. But Destruction had been passed on, and in that passing so had Nox reformed itsself, not of Koty's soul, but of the souls of the two who stood upon it, the successors of Destruction themselves, Kotah Tyris and Ezael Tyris. Formed from the both of their souls the moment the force of Destruction and the memories and spirit of Koty had passed to them, Nox now brought the two here away from the danger that threatened them, or at least one of them. Ezael had been in danger, and due to his part in sharing the title, Kotah had been summoned as well.

At first very surprised, the boys soon felt the familiar connection to the realm that their father had shared and recalled through their subconscious memories shared that this place was the new Nox, that it meant them no harm, and that it was theirs for them to form and shape to their will. With this known, the two willed away the darkness and in no time at all the skies of Nox were brilliant violet and gold, a painted sunset with black grass that went on in every direction for miles.

Their spirit guides beside them, both Ezael and Kotah sighed and collapsed into the grass. "No luck?" The two asked in unison before Ezael shook his head in answer, "No luck. There's no sign of the Aralangs anywhere. However I did sense our mother, but... it was her and it was not her. I'm not sure what I sensed."

"I think I sensed the same thing," Kotah pondered for a few moments, "At a tournament I participated in. But it was faint, and it disappeared quickly."

"Face it. We have to give up. We're not going to find either one. Both our mother, AND the Aralangs have abandoned us. The both of them  used us for their needs and then left us! Our mother left us to a virus that only wanted to control us and the Aralangs left us with no word or order from them whatsoever. We have to face facts. We're alone."

"I don't believe that.." Kotah said defiantly then sighed for a moment. "Our mother didn't abandon us and the Aralangs they're just.. ."

"Just gone." Ezael finished. "Even then.. what now? Even if they didn't, we're still alone until we find them with no orders of what to do, and without parents."

"I guess we should ..." Kotah paused a minute then looked up. "I guess we should do our duties... We are embodiments now... Even more. We're the Embodiment leaders. I'm just not sure what those duties are."

The both of them looked at each other quizzically. Neither had even the slight idea of what they were supposed to do as the Embodiment of Destruction. What had their father done besides getting himself sealed? Was Destruction even supposed to do anything? The both of them sighed aloud, lost more than ever.

Interesting, very intriguing indeed. Nox has returned. Not quite a voice, the impression of a memory not quite theirs', yet theirs' to take nonetheless, presses against their minds. The blackness shifts, as if something is there. "You are the children of Destruction, twins whose destinies are not yet decided by the Powers that Be. Welcome, to Nox. Before Destruction was passed to you, this place was crafted of your father's Spirit. Thus, when he passed, so too did Nox. But now you are here, and Nox has been born again."
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

At that both of the boys were startled from their thoughts as the two looked at one another in confusing, trying to find the source of the 'voice'. Without knowledge of where it was coming from, neither of the two knew whether to answer aloud or in their minds. Finally, Kotah, the braver yet more dependant of the two spoke up "W-w-who's there?" His voice echoed throughout the empty planes of grass as Ezael continued to look around them for any source.

The memory pressing against them seems to smile. "One like you, who's destiny has been shifting about by the Destruction he controls. I, however, am older even than your father. My name, is Neirron Tseirroc. Invite me in, and I shall teach you more." He says, the darkness seeming to shift a bit before them, as if someone was knocking on the semi-solid wall.

The two looked at one another once more. Did they dare let this person they didn't know in? And if they did, how exactly would they go about doing that? They barely knew what this place was, or about their position and magic at all. "Do we let him in?" Ezael looked to his brother.  "He could be an enemy and we don't have any of our tech with us."

Kotah pondered for a moment before swiftly replying, "He did say this place was created from our spirits.. And through our fathers memories we know that to be true. So if he does try anything, we might be able to kick him out! But.. how do we let him in..?"

Without them doing anything, all at once the darkness of the realm opened to allow the guest in having felt the intentions of the both of them. Since the realm was created from them, any wish they had would happened within it through mere will. The kids however had yet to realize this and were both in surprised awe when it happened.

Neirron stood before them, clad in brilliant white armor, shining in stark contrast to the blackness of the dimension. "This is your first time in Nox, isn't it boys?" He asks, smiling almost warmly. His armor seems to resonate with their new powers, as if in remembrance of times past. "Are either of you hungry?"

The both of them just silently nodded at the first question as they could only stare speechless at the man who had just entered the realm. Neither Kortah nor Ezael said anything for a long while till finally Ezael broke the silence. "Who.. are you?" The question lingered in the air as the two of them watched the man carefully. The signature felt like their fathers. But that wasn't possible. ....Was it?

When the man entered, the spirit guides who originally lay curled up in the grass sleeping, raised their heads erect and stared at where he stood. The Lynx spirit guide climbed to its feet and growled as the Bobcat stayed in its place but moved into a position of defense, ready to pounce at any moment.

He looks to the guides, smiling softly. "As I said, my name is Neirron Tseiroc. Currently, I am considered the Embodiment of Protection, just as you two and your father are considered the Embodiment of Destruction. Worry not, I will not harm you. I know a bit about Destruction, and with Nox returned, I knew the mantle had been passed on. I assume you two have quite a great deal of questions for me?" He says, kneeling down to allow the Guides to sniff at him, appearing unarmed.

The two of them shook their heads at his words. "No," Ezael spoke up. "Our father is no longer Destruction, he went off and died when we were no loger around. Left us when we never even knew hi-"

"We became the new embodiments not too long ago," Kotah interrupted his brother before Ezael could reveal any more about their feelings on everything. "But we don't know what we're supposed to do with it. All we have are his memories and he was sealed for most of them!"

"He left us nothing. Him, our mother, and the Aralangs! They all left us."

The Lynx sniffed at the hand of the man, a low growl within its throat before it walked back to the Bobcat, seemingly content and laid back down. The two spirit guides keeping their eyes fixated on the man the entire time.

He smiles softly. "Your mother is very, very busy these days. And your father died, yes, but he died for good reason. As for the Aralangs, we have not seen them in a very long time. Much to Nisorin's dismay, I'll admit. He and his kin still have quite the grudge against them. As for the Embodiment state you two have come into, there really isn't much to do unless your father left you specific instructions. The Embodiments are in place to help keep the forces that comprise Existence balanced, particularly Creation and Destruction. Creation certainly is an interesting Embodiment, he died, and yet came back to life to take up his mantle again." He says, watching the guides. "You two still have your guides. I will admit, I am jealous..."

"Jealous?" Ezael questioned as Kotah looked at the man.

"You don't have one anymore?" The two of them looked on in confusion when told there wasn't anything they were supposed to do as an embodiment. If that were true, why had their father been called a god and sealed for it? Was there more to it than what he was telling them?

He chuckles. "Things have happened in my life that have changed me a great deal. Unfortunately, it made me outlive my Spirit Guide. I was lucky, though. I found a new guide in my wife." He says, staring out into the sky for a moment before shaking his head. "In any case, you have questions. I can see it in your eyes. Your father was heralded as a god by many, most of them feared him for it. So they sealed him. They deemed him dangerous. Which he was. He used his power for more than keeping existence going. Before he was sealed he had no humanity. No compassion, mercy, nothing. Being sealed gave him that by sealing his memories of being an Embodiment. But you two have an advantage over him. Not only do you two already have those qualities, but you also have each other. I wonder if that will help you avoid the mistakes Ararus made."

The twins looked very surprised at the mans ability to answer what they had been thinking. Was he a mind reader like the Aralangs were? Or did he just have the ability to sense it like Kotah could at times? Finally after a long pause of silence, Ezael finally expressed in a dulled tone of little emotion, "Of course we have questions we're lost. We have been since the beginning.. But at the same time we were trained not to reveal this, that it was a weakness.. "

"By the same people that taught us and led us believing one thing, but what was found out to be wrong in the eyes of people that taught and led us to believing others." Kotah added this in where Ezael had ended.

"From the very beginning since our lives started we've been led along by different people that in the end abandoned us. Forced to grow up with no childhood... or true role models and then left to inherit something from our father.. something.. " Ezael paused in mid speech, "something that we had never even heard or learned of at first! And for what reason? Just because he was our father, and he died? We were left with nothing about it! We didn't even know what we were supposed to do...

"Most kids learn from their parents what they need to survive... but ours were not around. Our father we never even saw, and your mother.. we were fed to believe she was a criminal, trained to capture and kill people like her.. and forgot she even existed. Then when we come to find out the truth, we learn the people we had come to know as rolemodels who had taken care of us were the true criminals and told by you even that our parents are not to blame...But that doesn't change the years of training we went through to believe the exact opposite of that... It doesn't change everything that happened or fix the reality.."

"It doesn't make our parents, parents, or change what we were taught...

At his point..." Kotah shook his head.  "At this point, I just don't know what to believe.." He stared at the ground. "No matter what we choose to believe or go on following.. the fact of the matter is..."

"We were left with nothing. Just a title to a successor ship we knew nothing about and the memories of someone we barely knew.  Training that became useless as the very people that trained us are now gone. No one left to follow..."

"And no purpose or idea of what to do with ourselves..."

He chuckles, letting it turn into an almost warm-hearted laugh. "Welcome to the burden of the living, kids. I've been around for longer than almost anyone can remember, even I have trouble remembering my parents sometimes I've been alive so long. Everyone that lives has to find or make their own purpose. Take some time to explore. Visit new cultures, learn from them. Find what you want to do with your lives. And most of all, have fun with it. The Aralangs never taught you about fun, so you should visit someplace fun. Try the Pleasure Planet or visit the Relorians. They have some real awesome parties and festivals, and they have a lot of holidays coming up. I know you missed out on your childhood, and I could possibly talk to Asura to see if she can work a bit of her magic to help with that." He says, patting them both on the heads. "But in the meantime, you can still enjoy your lives. Destruction will keep you two from dying of old age, so you have all the time you'll ever need and more. And if you ever feel lonely, or you need someone to talk to, you already have friends."

"Friends?" The two questioned before Ezael quietly asked, "B-but what if the Aralangs ever came back? They m-might get mad that we were doing nothing instead of searching for them.. They might reprimand us for it. Or worse..." At Ezael's fear, the Bobcat spirit guide raised its head and gave low growl as it watched its 'master.'

Kotah only nodded.

He smiles warmly. "They won't be coming back. I'm still not sure what happened, but they've been locked out of numerous dimensions somehow. And if they do come back, your friends and I will protect you. That's what friends do, after all. They help each other." He looks to the Guides. "This goes without saying, but keep these two out of trouble. They have much to learn about the world they live in."

The guides merely bowed their heads in a very human-like nod as Kotah and Ezael both looked to the man and asked, "Then where should we go from here?"

"Umm.." Ezael looked at Kotah as Kotah looked back before the both of them looked at Neirron somewhat red in the face. "H... How would we get there?" The two looked to the side to hide their embarrassment.

"..We learned how to teleport, but no one told us how to go somewhere we've never been to or heard of.." Ezael quickly explained, avoiding looking at the man.

He smiles to them, handing them an odd little bag. "Take this, and go teleport to someplace you do know. This is a special bag that will convert money from other worlds into whatever currency is used on the world you're on at the time you reach into it. It can't create new money, though. Only take what you already have and make it into a usable currency. Use it to pay for passage between worlds. If you run out, use your talents to find jobs to make more money with."

Ezael accepted the back and and thanked him as Kotah blinked in confusion, his expression one of puzzlement before Ezael quickly joined him in the same expression.

"We're being ...called somewhere?"

"Something about judges.." Ezael added in.

"Wait..." Kotah opened his eyes after having them closed in thought, "I think I recall something about Judges from the memories from our father... They... guard the spirit realm?" The two looked at Neirron as if asking if they were correct.

Neirron shakes his hand in a so-so gesture. "Yes and no. They Judge those who have died to decide what will be done with them. Those who have done good, helped others and the like go to a place called North, while those who have done evil go to South. However, South has been completely destroyed. My lover, Leirra, is the Embodiment of Love. We were already called there, and she is already there. I'm not sure you two are ready for things like this yet."

"South?" Kotah looked thoughtful as he pondered, attempting to recall what South was, "South was Erebus, wasn't it?"

"No. Erebus was destroyed by our Father," Ezael interrupted in answer.

"Then what was South?" Kotah quickly shook his head, attempting to remember. "A lot of these memories are mixed up and confusing. Some harder to understand than others."

Neirron smiles, conjuring up three comfy-looking recliners and sitting down. "South was more commonly known as Hell to most, where the evil-hearted and such amongst the Dead would be sentenced." He answers, his smile quickly fading. "It is, well, wasn't, a pleasant place to be, either visiting or inhabiting."

(OOC:  I so totally forgot about this topic and now it doesn't really make sense to continue since what they were talking about is weeks passed.. soooo summary!)

After several more questions, the twins Kotah and Ezael had finally obtained enough answers and somewhat of an idea as to to what they were going to do from there on out. Once they thanked Neirron for his help, the two had disappeared, leaving the newly revived Nox till another time.
