More About The K Empire's Government (WIP)

The New K Empire, commonly referred to as simply the "K Empire", is an Empire which formed in 2054 by Kaleb James Tyris I, betterwise known as K2323. It formed in Paris, France and grew to be a major Post-Disaster (Earth was afflicted by nuclear warfare earlier that year) State on the planet before eventually leaving and inhabiting K City, a city based in design to the city of Japae, capital of the Old K Empire.

The government can best be described as a Monarchy Republic. It is vast and the below is a summary of the government structure.

Empress' House

The Empress' House is perhaps the most powerful branch of the K Empire. The Empress is appointed by his or her predecessor. There is a line of Royal Succession in place in the event of the monarch's death. The next emperor is scheduled to be Elizabeth Tyris, daughter of Kaleb James Tyris II -- she will take the throne in a manner of days. The other seats of the house are determined by the empress. The house's duties include maintaining order within the other departments and the government, executing the laws, partaking in the judicial and legislative process, and maintaining power. Apart from the empress and her family, various aids and advisors are employed under this department.

The Empress' Body Of Defense

Base Of Operations: K Tower, Government District, K City

Center of all coordinated military branches of the K Empire. Oversees defense of the K Empire and its allies, and is behind every military operation. The Empress' Body Of Defense has the power to declare war with authorization from the Emperor's House, and carries out various strategical and analysis work every day.

- Chairmen Of Officials of the Military (COM) is the chairmen of military leaders from the various branches of the K Military. They work together closely to provide support to the K Empire. They oversee the military as a whole, and make important military decisions along with the emperor.

• K Empire Army is the largest military branch of the K Empire, and is under the COM of the Emperor's Body Of Defense within the Emress's House. It has several divisions which make up its structure. Established in 2054 by Kaleb James Tyris I, the Army was formed before the Body Of Defense, and is one of the oldest departments of government in the K Empire. Its top officials at formation were former French and American generals.
• K Empire Fleet Command is the K Empire's second largest military branch. It is devoted to maintaining the military fleet of the K Empire and is considered the "first line of defense" against invasions.

- Defense Division Of Classification Of Documents (DOCOC) is the panel responsible for archival and classification of all empire documents.
- Defense Division Of Technological Research And Development For Defensive Purposes (DOTRAD) oversees development and research of K Empire's military technologies.
- Defense Division Of Mercenary And Research Contractors (DOMARC) is responsible for the K Empire's work with mercenaries and technology contractors.
- Defense Division Of Counter-Weapon Operations (DOCWO) is the division of the Emperor's Body Of Defense that locates weapon supplies of hostiles and coordinates efforts to ensure these weapons are taken out of enemy hands.
- Defense Economic Management manages the budget allotted for the defense, negotiates with the emperor and the K Council over economic policies that affect the Emperor's Body Of Defense, and manage funds within the department.
- Defense Human Capital Management manages the training of new defense employees.
- Defense Division Of Magical Research And Utilization For Defensive Purposes (DOMRAU) oversees research and utilization of new tactics using magic. Also archives magical artifacts and works closely with DOTRAD to ensure that Defense Tactics being used are top-notch.
- Defense Advisory Panel (DAP) is a top level panel of advisors, consisting of about ten men, who work closely with Lester Mitchell and the COM.
- Defense Division Agency Of Defensive Coordination Abroad (DAODCA) is a division of the Emperor's Body of Defense which works abroad with K Empire allies to ensure coordination between the Emperor's Body Of Defense and foreign defensive departments.
- Defense Division Agency Of Analyzing Data Proportions (DAOADP) is a division of the Emperor's Body Of Defense which analyzes potential scenarios and statistics in order to better defend the empire.
- Defense Division Agency Of Intelligence (DAOI) is a division of the Emperor's Body Of Defense which gathers intelligence both domestically and abroad and studies enemy tactics. Reports directly to the emperor.
- Defense Division Agency Of Security (DAOS) is a division of the Emperor's Body Of Defense which gathers technology-oriented intelligence and oversees cyber-security. In charge of monitoring defense technology and studying the way the enemy uses technology against the K Empire.
- Defense Division Of Well-Being deals with the management of POWs and missing soldiers and defense civilians.
- Defense Division Of Health deals with the health and well-being of K Empire soldiers and defense civilians. Operates one of the largest health care systems in the empire. Not only provides health in K City, but provides help in military operations as well.
- Defense Division Of Information Technology fixes computers and stuff.

The Emperor's Body Of Resources

Base Of Operations: K Management Center, Government District, K City

Responsible for the management and distribution of resources and trade for the K Empire. Oversees economic policies both in relation to domestic and foreign trade. Also acts as a watchdog for fraud, counterfeit, and other economic offenses within the K Empire.

The K Council
Chair Of Power - Claudius Standsman
Base Of Operations: Building Of The People, Government District, K City

The second most powerful branch of the government, the K Council is one of three legislative bodies within the K Empire. The council officials are all chosen by the people, with the approval of the monarch. Their duties are to create laws to govern K City. Their rights stem from the Document Of Legislative Power, signed in 2058, and they are not permitted to submit any laws outside their power. They and they alone have the power to enact their laws. The monarch, while reserving the power to, upon a majority vote from the Emperor's House, impeach certain K Council officials, do not have the power to reverse K Council laws; that power rests only with the Judicial Bodies.

Emperor's House Of The Council (better wise known as the Emperor's Council)

Base Of Operations: K Palace, K City

While less powerful than the K Council, this branch's jurisdiction is far greater. They can pass laws for the K Empire as a whole, not just the capital city (though right now, the city is the only territory of the K Empire, apart from diplomatic establishments abroad). Their powers, like the K Council, stem from the Document of Legislative Power, and are as such restricted under provisions lined out by the monarchy. Every member of this council, unlike the K Council, are chosen by the monarchs themselves. The monarch can reject any legislation signed by the Emperor's Council. The council can not enact legislation by themselves, and need the Signature of the Emperor for their laws to become effective.

Colonial House Of Legislation
Chair Of Power - Currently inactive.
Base Of Operations: TBA

This branch is currently considered en staunabiy or inactive until such a time that the K Empire has established its first colony. That said, when this branch becomes activated (or rather, if), it will hold powers at great similarity to the K Council. A legislative body for the colonies of the K Empire, it's chairmen will consist of the governors of the colonies, and its members elected officials by the colonists themselves. Like the K Council, their power is limited.
