After years of research and testing, Jade Tempora has finally finalized her design for the Sons' Tempora Psionic Augmentation Armor. Donned while the Psiona is nude, the armor directly interfaces with the nerves in the wearer's skin, the innermost layer functioning as a haptic shirt covering the entire body save the head. The second layer is a flexible layer made of a material similar to kevlar, designed to stop piercing attacks such as bullets or knives. The fibers are lined with an upgraded version of the polyethylene glycol/silica gel used in previous TPAE armor, incorporating nano-inertial absorbents to absorb impact forces to be stored for fuel in Psionic attacks or EASS usage. The final layer consists of composite armor plating, utilizing the same light materials used in the structural frames of SoP ships flecked with Curicite chips that refract light, causing light-based attacks such as lasers to cause much less damage. As in previous models, the fingertips all hold high powered Laser Induced Plasma Channels utilizing enhanced lenses to create a much more precise blast.
Every suit is an access node for the Tempora Psionic Network, a powerful psionic network maintained by specialized, self-fueling, self-maintaining, self-replicating constructs spread across the dimensions and spreading further every day. These constructs each can carry the network for a light year diameter sphere before interference is taken into account, before signal strength starts to diminish beyond fully usable levels. The network functions the same as the previous network, though a great deal more security precautions are used to protect transmissions.
Each PEAS is equipped with an EASS system, as well as the required interface for the wearer's Weave to power the EASS. The suits vary in appearance just as much as the previous TPAE armor, often engraved or laser-etched with various runes, glyphs and symbols, while some being far more bulky than others. A common peripheral for them, however, has been powerful ion-emitters in the forearms for assisting the EASS in orbital drops, as well as other potential uses.
