Zane Valatako
« on: March 24, 2010, 09:25:25 PM »
Name: Kane Valatako
Age: 15,000 but looks to be a man in his mid twenties due to reincarnation.
Race: Sage
Alliance: None
Biography: His planet where he was born was overrun with creatures made of a strange dark power that none of the weapons of his people could defeat. His father being an inventive sage noticed that the creatures were weak against the elements and so for 500 years before the birth of his son he spent time building gauntlets that would house the power of the elements inside them in hopes that the creatures could be defeated.  He succeeded at weakening the creatures for a time but when they returned he was too old to do much against them except cast a spell to protect his wife and unborn child from them. When Kane was born however the gauntlets reacted to him more powerfully than they had to his father partially because he was the destined warrior to wield them and drive out the creatures. As he grew up his mother taught him the martial arts and magic and how to combine the two along with how to use a sword that she had been crafting for him from birth so that he would have a proper blade for himself. The creatures swarmed again eating his entire planet and so it was with a heavy heart that he left his world with the gauntlets in hopes of finding a way of routing those monsters.  Eventually he was met by Narasan who tried to take the gauntlets from him as a gift for Order but it ended in disaster for Narasan and was the only real defeat that he has ever had before. Recently he removed the magic from the gauntlets and destroyed them after writing down what metals they were made from so that he could make ones that were his own. He didn't want to rely on something that his father had created and so he would build his own gauntlets like the ones he formerly wielded.
Weapons: http://miss-gabriel.deviantart.com/art/Sword-60332010 This is the sword that his mother created for him and has enchantments that deflect other magic types besides that of his own when used on the blade.
Former Weapons :
Elemental Gauntlets
His father made the elemental gauntlets to fight creatures of darkness but they have retained their power even though their wielder failed at the task.
http://dark-razvan.deviantart.com/art/Gauntlets-commission-62812697  2 of each one of these. These were disenchanted by him so that he could try his hand at recreating the power they have but naturally from himself of course. His elemental forms are sealed at the moment due to that.
Equipment: Ruby Pendant his mother wore and armor that his father wore.
Magic Level: 5
Appearance:

When he is in armor : http://keun-chul.deviantart.com/art/Silver-Knight-150861346 Except the gauntlets may vary if he is using them.

When he is in his regular attire :  http://heise.deviantart.com/art/Arrogant-knight-26465221

And finally :

When in Darkness Hunter Mode :  His armor is a fusion of all the colors of the gauntlets  and a sword that looks like a dragon is in his possession replacing the normal sword that is wielded by him.

About time you start using good appearance pictures. Heise is amazing.

I have to admit, this is one of the more interesting characters you've requested. Sounds like it's been taken from a show, though that may just be coincidence. I hope you can impress us with this one, Hawkeye.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

And now for his foe if he has approval from Nisorin and will gain approval from 1 other.

Name:   Pedalo Koros
Age: 150 but appears to be 20
Race: Sage but magically changed by himself into a Tidean
Alliance: Order
Biography: He was before he swore alleigance to Narasan a traitor to his own people and the one who summoned those shadowy creatures that infested the world that Zane was born into. He ran away fearing the wrath of the last survivor of that world Zane and joined up with Narasan after which he was taught to use his unique abilities in a different way than the people who had manipulated him would have wished. Redeeming himself he changed his name from Damien Dark Shadow to Pedalo Koros and became a Shadow Knight for Order Tyris as well as an apprentice for Narasan. When he learned of Narasan's demise he immediately decided that he would take the place of Narasan until he could successfully revive Narasan into a suitable host body.
Weapons:   He wields a black curved sword along with black wooden boomerangs and a battle mace that he always carries with him. No ranged weapons besides the boomerangs are his weaponry of choice.  He also has a black skull choker which can fire mindwiping blasts of magical energy and two gloves that give him the death fist technique of Negion along with the dark fire fists a new move that he learned.
Equipment:
Magic Level: 5.
Appearance:
He is usually clad in a white jumpsuit with a red skull on it and wears a belt that is similar but with a black skull on it. On his back is a heavy sword that he rarely if ever will use because of it's weight.

I have modified the gauntlets enough to be acceptable by Hikaru so that she will have no further reason to argue against me having this character. I do however need 3 approvals. 1 for Zane and 2 for Pedalo.

Excuse me but which one are you approving? Nisorin's words translate into approval and therefore Zane is approved.

Just curious, but any chance you could put the same inspiration from the first into the second? Not trying to be a pain, just the first one was so good compared to your usual.

Mindwiping blasts do what?

Mind wiping causes the target to forget everything about the person they are fighting.

As for your suggestion Nisorin, I shall get right on that.

Is there any way to resist the mind wiping?

What if the target wasn't truly alive? Like sentient, but not a organism?

No, would their mind be wiped?
Also, you might wanna reword that...How can it survive if its not alive in the first place? XD

So the only way to resist it is for the warrior to clear their mind. What about targets with exceedingly chaotic mindsets? For example, Angel in one of her rages.

Chaotic would be more difficult to wipe.
