Tea with a Valyrian.
« on: October 09, 2012, 12:24:37 PM »
Just outside of the Tea of Li Cafe, a bright flash would appear and in its wake there would be a pair of interesting individuals. The first was a woman, around 5'3" in height and very thin, she was wearing a shimmering white robe around her body, fastened at the waist by a sash of blue. Upon the left breast of the robe was a winged, eight pointed star, the sigil of House Starfall. This female was Myra Starfall, Captain of the High Valyria Dragon Forces.

The second individual wore no clothing, had bright blue skin and yellow eyes and was around fifty meters tall with a massive wingspan that was currently folded to his back. This being was of course a dragon, it's name was Gariz and it was bound to Myra by blood and soul, as was the custom on Volimar. The girl looked up to the dragon and nodded to it, it nodded back and lay down, leaving the entrance of the Cafe open but seemingly guarding it.

Myra walked shyly into the Cafe and looked around, trying to look for any Anrufe that she could talk to. Hopefully I look so out of place that they'll find me. she thought. Otherwise, I'm going to look really silly asking about for an Anrufe member.

Before she could enter, a deep, male voice would call out, "Hey, you!"

The outside seating of the cafe sat under a nice canopy, and there was a variety of tables and chairs decorating the lovely area, but only one seat was occupied at present moment. The hustle and bustle of the sidewalk outside the cafe would make the secluded canopy all the more appealing as it provided some sense of privacy.

Sitting quite alone was a fairly slim, muscular man with dirty blonde, messy hair, wearing a black cloak which many knew as the signature cloak of the Anrufe, distinguishable by the carving imprint on the chest of the fabric. This man was Reli, one of the more quiet members of the Anrufe, who sat now, sipping a cup of coffee, watching the two, fairly amused.

"Join me, will you?"

The Valyrian drew up suddenly at the voice and her eyes dilated rapidly. At the same moment, every offensive and defensive rune she knew jumped into her head and her hand took on a slight golden glow of magic. Upon seeing the Anrufe member sitting there however, she let out a sigh of relief and the glow of magic left her hand rather quickly. Deciding not to waste anymore time, she took herself forwards and sat down across from the Anrufe member.

"I-I'm sorry, Ser, you startled me." She whispered timidly once she had gotten herself comfortable and moved her hair away from her eyes to sit over her shoulders. "I have... never traveled off-world before and the new sights and peoples are... overwhelming to say the least." Myra's fingers played with a length of her fringe as she looked over the Anrufe member she was talking to, he seemed like a normal person. I really don't understand why Silas finds them any worse than himself, war equates to death, it is known. The Dragon Rider thought to herself.

"Well, Ser, it's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Myra of House Starfall... although I doubt you'll know much about the houses and Valyrians themselves, oh my." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, looking extremely stressed out, paranoid and worried which she was with absolute certainty.

Reli's eyes scanned her entire body, darting from head to toe as he took in every inch of her. An observer would perhaps find that maybe Reli was interested in Myra, but that was not the case. He was a rapid learner -- it was one of his specialties -- and memorizing every single detail about her was relatively easy for him to do. Once he had every little detail 'downloaded' into his brain, he reached out, his warm hands traveling across the table to hers, taking them gently into his grasp.

"Relax. I'm not going to hurt you," he said firmly but kindly, releasing his warm grasp a few seconds later. "My name is Reli. Tell me. If you had, before today, never left your planet, then what prompted you to do something so rash and dangerous as visit a secure Anrufe complex? You could have gotten yourself killed."

When Reli's hands contacted Myra's own, the Valyrian stiffened up suddenly and gave a slight gasp but she quickly calmed down and let out a kept in breath. "I apologise once again, I am just under a lot of pressure to perform" She laughed quietly and shook her head, causing her fringe to fall down over one scarlet eye and pale shoulder. "As for visiting the Complex, I was given a task by my Queen to visit the Anrufe and bring my question to them but whatever it was that spoke to me, wasn't very kind or forgiving about it." She frowned slightly and shrugged "It was understandable to be honest, I shouldn't have shown up like I did."

Myra then turned her gaze away from Reli for a moment and looked around the area in which they were in, her eyes tried to pick out how many different species she could see and there were quite a few. She turned back and closed her eyes before knuckling them and giving a small whimper. "Oh goddesses" She murmured.

"What does your queen seek?" Reli asked, ignoring Myra's nervousness. This was interesting. A new race of unknowns wanted the Anrufe for something? So be it. The Anrufe would reply with curiosity.

"My Queen and I were recently contacted by Silas of House Night a Nar... Narrikian." She struggled with the word slightly but got it out and sighed softly. "He was asking to make Volimar, our planet, a protectorate against the Anrufe. My Queen though realised that what if you were quite correct and he wasn't? So she asked me to seek you out so you could send a representative to our home and speak with my Queen about which side Volimar should aid." She growled quietly, it sounded rather dark though, and pushed her hair away from her face. "Curses!"

"We are a very busy organization, ma'am," Reli replied, his voice still kind, "I'm afraid we can not spare the resources to send a delegate to your planet to try and win your approval. Much of the universe does disagree with our... methods. However; I assure you, the Narrikians are no more favored by those among the stars than we are."

His voice grew a bit darker. "I would advise you, though. The Narrikians are currently at war with our organization. Your people would do wise to steer clear of them, lest war be upon your... Volimar, was it?"

His words caused Myra to frown slightly but she nodded anyway. "That is understandable, I will tell my Queen that I was unable to get an Anrufe diplomat and to urge her not to allow the Narrikians upon our planet. I worry though, Reli" She took his hands in her own and shivered "Silas seems to be the kind of man that would destroy our world if we do not help him, I'm worried about what would happen if they are barred from our world, we could all die."

The dragon behind Myra sat up slightly and looked around to its rider and the person across from her, almost as if it was gauging what to do or what was to be done about Reli but it quickly lay back down and curled up once again.

"Yes, well-"

He stopped, looking over his shoulder for a moment, as if sensing somebody else were there, before continuing, "Silas, you say, is the name of this man? We have not yet encountered a Silas among the Narrikian leadership. In any case, I would love to say that we could offer you protection, but surely, you must understand, we are at war. However..."

He stopped, pulling out a GalaxyPhone, prepaid with Galactic, Inc. Placing it on the table, he nodded towards Myra. "This device will allow you to contact me should you need help. If the Narrikians attack, do not hesitate to call," he explained as he started to show her how the GalaxyPhone worked.

In a flare of magenta, Kurai appeared within the small cafe atop the table of a random pedestrian, who immediately jumped up and started to curse the Negi Phoenix out about manners and the like. To this, Kurai simply laughed and jumped down. With a snap of her fingers, the table and pedestrian was lit aflame as Kurai walked away, scanning the tables around her for anyone who resembled an Anrufe member.

The Valyrian nodded slightly before leaning in to learn quickly about how this phone would work. Before she had even got a chance however, she felt the heat of fire to her side and she jumped to her feet and her hand came up quickly, glowing golden and drawing a rune that caused the pedestrian to be extinguished from the fire and starting a slow healing process.

"Just who the hell do you think you are?!" Myra hissed angrily as she walked over to where Kurai was standing, her eyes blazing and in response, her dragon stood up from behind her and stepped over and behind her, glaring down at Kurai although something interesting would be noticed, there were small sparks of electricity flaring around the dragon's fangs, it would appear that it did not breathe fire.

"You don't just appear and set fire to things you maniac" The Dragon Rider walked straight up to Kurai and glared at her, her crimson eyes narrowed. "Explain yourself!"

Reli, at this point, let his head lean back as he started laughing at the display, tinges of insanity in his tone as he watched the man before them burn to flames. Collecting himself, he stood, smoothing out his clothing as he nodded towards Myra. "We'll be in touch, I hope."

And then, he walked up to Kurai, offering his arm as he materialized a portal before them. "Shall we?"

"I do as I wish. Have a problem little girl?" Kurai simply smirked, her grin a tantalizing one. When she caught sight of Reli coming towards them, she simply nodded and ignored his offer, instead turning back to Myra. "As for who I am, if you do not already know, you shall know soon enough."

With that, Kurai walked through the portal ahead of Reli.

Reli sighed, shaking his head as he muttered, "Newbies," before following his new teammate through the portal.
