Metal Raid
« on: October 17, 2012, 04:20:36 PM »
A Z-Frame Class Frigate arrived near Sovereign broadcasting the Anrufe signature and seeming to be in distress. However inside of the ship was what seemed to be an old man but was actually one of the series II Mad Walkers. Only improvements had been made combining one of the Paladin series of the VE MK III into the Mad Walker. The others were all Mad Walkers of the MK II variety, but with the lesser VE Series II inside of them and similarly disguised. Of course all over the ship on the inside there was a white goo like substance that had been made by certain experts. The purpose of this ship was to go and retrieve metal. Portals opened and out of them came MASSIVE hands made using the Animite Drive that began to scoop up damaged ships and pull them closer to the Z-Frame which appeared to be a damaged Anrufe Frigate.

The moment the ship tried to launch portals to gather technology, large AP and AT fields appeared around the ship and around the portals. It was obvious that this was not really an Anrufe ship. The Anrufe didn't bother to attack, though. If they didn't leave fairly quickly then the levithan would almost definitely take care of things.

The ship crew scowled and then left via Order Warp technology, which an AT Field could not stop. However a little present was left behind for the creature and appeared to be a small corvette of sorts. However this was no Corvette. No it had been loaded to the brim with AM Fielded Nukes, poison canisters and all sorts of things that could likely affect the creature and kill it. In addition, it had Devour nanites programmed to consume the creature. This was an insidious way to remove one of the biggest threats in this sector.

Seeing as the place was literally a ship graveyard, there were naturally defenses to stop this sort of thing. A massive portal surrounded the Corvette, like a secondary shield. Only it wasn't shielding the ship. It was there to absorb the massive amounts of firepower that detonated, and it dropped out the firepower a good distance away from Sovereign.

A large barrier surrounded the areas around the graveyard which had radiation within them. The barriers were coated with seals which absorbed the radiation. As the seals appeared as runes, attached to the barrier, pulsing with different auras, the barrier shut down and the runes scattered into different areas of the graveyard to serve as a new defense in case someone else came to the area.
