The pulse shots were Corrupted on impact and immediately made the shield stronger.
But immediately, none of this mattered. The charging circle launched the small ball of energy and it hurdled toward the planet faster than the speed of light. Upon hitting the atmosphere; a lot happened at once. As the bubble spread to cover the entire planet, which would only take it a couple of minutes, an EMP pulse surged across the entire planet. A lot of military technology was probably hardened, but a lot of things would still be non functioning or at least malfunctioning. Second, an AT, AM, and AP field covered the whole planet. The barrier allowed physical things to come through but would prevent any signals from coming in or out.
Temar was essentially completely cut off from allies and reinforcements.
