Threes Company, but Sevens an Orgy!
« on: November 27, 2012, 09:03:35 PM »
In a rundown bar located in an equally rundown city. A man, dressed in a dull red duster that hung to his ankles a black t-shirt and a pair of dirty jeans sat on a stool. He raised an arm, two fingers extended. "Barkeep, two shits of Zack Zaniels, asap!" he said loudly, trying to attract as much attention as possible. His shaggy, blonde hair hung down almost to his eerily blue eyes. His mouth was curved upward in a grin that showed much too many teeth, many of which almost seemed...pointed. Strapped to his back was a silver fire-ax. Strangely, no one would have seen him enter the bar, despite him being such an odd sight. "Actually, how 'bout you forget the shots and just bring me the bottle. I might be here for awhile" He chuckled darkly.

He didn't attract too much attention. With the Zarethians being a very diplomatic and trade orientated race, the amount of strange visitors was astounding. The barman, a puffy fellow with a big, walrus style mustache that hid most of his ruddy face, slid down a bottle of Zack Zaniels, landing perfectly in front of the stranger.

The bar around him was filled with strange and out of place characters. Overly built musclemen, shady men in black trenchcoats offering up their wares and even bizzare looking alien prostitutes advertising their wares. Overall, the man in the trenchcoat fit right in.

A figure whistled to himself gently in the corner. He knocked back a bottle of beer and glanced at the new customer. His eyes rested on him for a bit, and he flashed a knowing smile. This man seemed to know exactly what the newcomer was, and as they made eye contact he nodded at him. A revolver was on his table, and careful examination would find a katana leaning at his side.

It was Norman the Zombie-Tamer!

Sam, the-mysterious-stranger-who-was-apparently-not-as-mysterious-as-he-thought-he-first-was, smiled even wider as he saw the-mysterious-stranger-who-was-morse-so-mysterious-than-he. He quickly downed the two shots, licking his lips afterwards, and stood up turning to face the rest of the bar. He straightened up his attire and winked at the man. "Well then, let's get this show on the road!" He spun around quickly, the axe already in his hand, slamming it's blade into and through the neck of a man sitting next to him like hot butter. As he did this he pulled a pistol out of his coat and began firing it wildly into the bar, not caring who he hit so long as he hit someone.

The bartender-with-the-walrus-'stache ducked down to avoid the arterial spray. He rose up with a civilian shotgun, low powered to the point of impunity compared to modern weapons. He fired two shots at the intrusive man.

The man Sam cut fell down, sending his life juices all over three other patrons. Then there was the screaming. Burly hitmen ran towards Sam, knives and crude pistols in their hands, firing and waving wildly. One happened to hit the bartender, whose head exploded and dying spasms sent a shotgun blast right into two of the men's faces.

As Sam sprayed and prayed, he hit a wide variety of people. Burly men fell down screaming like young girls, the mysterious, shady men let out whimpers of pain and the Mechera prostitute fell down on the ground, headless, with a metallic clunk, her 'skirts' flying up.

Norman's smile vanished, and he was up on his feet instantly, revolver in his right hands, katana at his left. He emptied all six rounds onto Sam, sprinting towards him and unsheathing the katana. Luckily the other bodies had soaked up the sprayed rounds. The katana was revealed to be the Necromancer's Razor, a legendary blade forged in hell. It's dark abilities were notorious and it could manipulate spirits. Orga would recognize it.

'Well this should be fun' Orga noted as he saw the sword.
The shot and bullets hit Sam dead on and the gory wounds and clothing damage vanished in seconds. His grin became a maniacal slasher smile of sharp razor teeth. He moved backwards, seeming to glide across the floor. His eyes were nought but glowing blue orbs and his face seemed a mask of black just his eyes and teeth visible. He pointed his pistol at the man, not needing to reload, and twirled his fire-axe in his hand as it morphed into it's more familiar shape of a simple katana. "WHISKEY FLAVORED GUTSHOTS FOR EVERYBODY!" he screamed.

"What is the purpose of this, demon? What have these people done?" Norman asked, talking down to him as he brandished the sword and threw the empty revolver away. He stood at a prepared stance.

The people who remained from the slaughter fled the premises in a hurried panic. One of the Ferrarian prostitutes attempted to pull along the twitching Mechera.

Sam turned the gun to the Smith prostitute and channeled his magic into the chambered bullet and fired it at the woman. The bullet would be just a bit stronger than a standard Ferrarian handgun and have enough power to pierce her thick hide. "I'm sorry, the sexy was distracting me, what were you saying, something about tacos?"

The katana glowed with unearthly black light, filling the room with smoky shadow. Norman's hair shot up like he had touched static electricity, his eyes pulsed with red. His voice wasn't completely human.
"Demon, leave here now and cease your actions. You are not wanted here." The katana was speaking, weaving enchantments of control on him. The ancient magic would hopefully start to control him. It worked great on weak spirits, but Norman knew this was a powerful being. He hoped that it would at the very least shake up the spirit, make it think twice about sticking around.

"Gladly, child. Well, after we finish burning this city to the ground and eating everyone here. Otherwise we might as well have just stayed home" they spoke as one. The pistol vanished and the hand that held it turned grey and inhuman as claws sprouted from it's fingertips. Sam shook his head as if to free his mind of thoughts "And turn that sword off, youngling, It is an insult to my legacy. I fought alongside Lucifer against God and the angels in the first war and no fools weapon is going to make me turn away from this battle" His eyes narrowed and the grin became more wicked. "Make your move" Around him the the temperature began to plummet until it was well below freezing.

Norman sheathed the sword and the shadows and glows vanished. He stared at them harshly.
"Have it your way." He spat, forming his hands into a fist.
"Horde, unleash!" He yelled, as a portal opened in front of him. Out of it poured thousands of zombies, screaming and grabbing at Sam and Orga. Through the portal, they stretched out to the horizon. It was almost like a never ending wave. Behind the portal, Norman disappeared.

Sam spun in a circle, the sword cutting through the zombies with no effort, lopping off heads and limbs, bisecting torsos and spilling open rotten guts. Any zombies in his immediate vicinity would begin to freeze, slowing down to a halt as their joints froze in place. Sam crouched down, arms wrapped around himself, as a ball of energy formed around him deflecting attacks. His face was screwed up with concentration and he was shaking.

Norman barked an order in a foreign language, and about a hundred zombies left the portal, looping around outside of the icy spell. They waited to strike again, the portal closing.
"I can banish that demon for you." Norman started, his voice revealing him to be up in the rafters of the building overlooking him. Soft clicks were heard of him reloading guns.
"I can fix you. I'm a necromancer. I can give you back your life." He offered, hesitating.

Sam stood up abruptly, throwing his arms wide, the energy sphere that had formed around him blasting out, first freezing anything in it's path solid and then busting it to pieces with the following shockwave. It would obliterate the hordes of undead and most of the building.  "You're more than a little late for that, my friend"

Norman leaped out of range of the blast attack, the force sending him through the leaky roof. He landed roughly on the street, feeling pain shoot up through his heels. He grunted but stood up, despairing the loss of his zombie companions. His eyes bore into his opponent.
"Then so be it! Off to hell I'll send you BOTH! Senkai!" He barked, starting an order; he pointed at his opponent, "Purifier!" He demanded, and a incredibly large bore triple barrel shotgun appeared in his hands. It was made of silver with engraved pearl for a stock and forend. Holding it seemed to pain him a little bit.
"Eat this, danato!" He shouted, shouldering the behemoth and pulling a trigger that unleashed all three rounds. With a dazzling and beautiful flash of white and rainbow light, three enormous silver slugs, enchanted with pure white magic and heavenly runes sped toward them at over 2000 feet per second.

As all this was happening, reports to the police filtered through the communication lines. The police reported it higher up, and the head of justice called on the power of one of the most impressive entities he knew: Devour. A quick heads up message was magically sent to Devour telling him the location of events.

Sam was running torwards Norman even as he landed, faster than any man should hope to move. When he saw the necromancer pull out the gun he instinctively leaned back and dropped to the ground, his momentum carrying him forward and allowing the slugs to pass over him harmlessly, the wind from them ruffling his hair a bit. As he did this he pulled out his twin pistols, Dante and Judas, now black and covered in archaic and infernal runes, and began firing at the man. Each shot was capable of leaving smoky black craters in three feet of concrete.

In a flash the Razor was out once more, dark magic forming in reply. Once the bullets struck the aura of the blade, they cancelled each other out, the bullets and aura meeting a dark magic stalemate. Norman readied for close quarter battle, opening a portal behind Sam. The horde came at him again.

OOC:A Mechera...Pros...ti...Ok, given that they have flashlight heads with no faces, I dont even want to know what demographic she was going after. XD ...Also, on a mildly-related note, given that the head is just for receiving sensory data and the location of the Mechera's speakers, I dont believe it'd be dead. Juuuuuuuuuuuust sayin'.

Zero received the magic message and sighed to himself. "And things were going so peacefully the past couple of days, too. There hasn't been some nutjob proclaiming himself a super villain or a giant monster-no offense to Mo, of course-in four days. ...I think this is a new record, actually." He mumbled to himself, scratching a itch on his coat before looking for a government facility. He wasn't in that city, after all, so if he was gonna fight some criminal the police couldn't handle he was gonna need t get there first. Best part about being a state-sponsored superhero, as opposedthe to freelance vigilante-free travel. Well...The pay wasn't terrible, but thats only because he was (presumably) paid at all. Freelance superheroes have to actually WORK for a living. Aaaaanyways, once there he'd silently check in as Devour using a throw-away face(this way he could be as open about checking in as a superhero as he wanted without ruining the whole 'secret identity' thing; since his hero form is just a tad too monsterous to go around normally he could just check in with a random form and go from there), get to a teleporter or other form of government transit, and be on his way(I'll put a pause to Devour's part here in case Zak wants to have some Gov person talk to Devour or mention 'thats not how is works' or something).

(this parts entirely up to if UnStellar's alright with Norman not having been traveling alone, if he says no then ignore everything past this, though I dont THINK he'll have any great problems with this)

MEANWHILE*swirly transition with the OrgaEmblem zooming in and out*

Lauren Vain had traveled to Tefillin with the good Zombie-Tamer, though she hadn't gone with him to the bar(she didn't drink), instead opting to just look around the city and shop around. Mostly for plants and seeds, since she loved growing plants(necromancy helps when you forget to water/feed some of them). She was actually just about to purchase some seeds when she saw one of the zombies through a window. Seeing as the undead are fairly uncommon outside of Barren Planet, she wisely decided to investigate. For starters she used a spell to make her unnoticed by Undead she didn't directly control, and then used a different spell to analyze the Necromantic magic animating the Zombie. Good news was, of course, that it was one of Norman's, so she lowered the spell keeping her hidden and followed it. Dread, feeling his mistress' confusion through the link he had to her very soul, crawled out of the backpack he was resting in(since, y'know, dracoliches tend to raise panic when seen) and looked around. He spotted the carnage sooner than his mistress, and fearing for her safety he grew to the size of a adult dracolich, and gently grabbed her with his tail to drop her onto his back. He screeched, a unholy, hollow sound that echoed through the city, before exhaling in the direction of the enemy. His breath carried all the way there, rotting and decaying all that it touched, be it living, Undead, even infrastructure was weathered by it. The only reason he even did this was because he reasoned that A:most living people are scared of Undead+B:There were Zombies walking about would =C:Living people would already be out of the way and the only casualties would be a few stupid zombies and, hopefully, the guy his mistress' friend's zombies were attacking.

Sam jumped up from his sliding kneel, blade in a reverse grip, slashing up at Norman. The sword would cut through anything in it's path up to but not including abstract concepts. After the initial blow he would explode into rapid fire fisticuffs and sword slashes that, to anyone paying close attention, seemed to fit perfectly with the rhythm of a Swedish folk metal band's song. The zombies would be as little more than nuisances as he incorporated back slashes to decapitate the odd corpse that got too close while focusing the brunt of his attack on Norman. The rotting breath would decay Sam's flesh and his clothes, leaving him a skeletal hellbeast, clad in the rotten and tattered bits of his clothes. Kind of like a zombie! Well, except his hair. That seemed to stay just as it was. Also it wouldn't do much aside form affect him aesthetically. 'We've got company' Orga noted.

OOC:A Mechera...Pros...ti...

OOC: Just... Don't ask questions. We're all better off not knowing.

Norman nimbly dodged the swipes, his Razor fading as he realized his opponents blade had incredible power that would cleave it in two. His leg injury made him a little slower on his feet then usual, so he took a couple of grazing blows that would have sliced him up pretty good. He used windows of opportunity from the back swipes to get into a more convenient position, a little out of the swiping range, and weaved out pretty well.
"Senkai! He called, a little short of breath.
"I listen to rammstein too, you bitch!" He scoffed, his dodges made easier by recognizing the rhythm. He smirked, but the smirk faded as he saw the Dracolith approaching.
"Lauren!" He shouted, throwing his voice using magic.
"Get out of here, he's one of the original demons! I can handle it!" This minor distraction caused him to take a gut punch from one of his fisticuff blows, and rolled off with it and regained his footing, spitting out a little bit of blood.
"Senkai where are you..." he muttered to himself through gritted teeth. Luckily the zombies would continue pouring out, though the katana could chop through two or three of their ranks at a time. They were serving their distraction purpose fantastically, and if he missed a swipe or two their ranks could start to overwhelm him.

Senkai, his semi-sentient gym bag of holding, was sliding through the dirty streets as quickly as it could.

Norman pulled his mauser broomhandle Fitz, engraved fantastically with powerful runes, and started to fire at opportune moments, timing it with the brief vulnerable windows after a swipe or when he backswiped to hit the zombies. The enchantment on them was pretty standard, a blunt shadow strike with some acidic poison, and a bleedthrough effect of doubt from the negative energies encased in it. Luckily, Fitz was enchanted to have near unlimited ammo, so that wouldn't be a concern. Purifier had been dropped after the rush, and when Senkai reached it, he would eat it, keeping it protected.

"Actually, that was Spirit of the Wind by Falconer. Rammstein is German, obviously you don't listen to them enough-FEUER FREI!" He turned around, a magical force-field opening behind him that both blocked and bounced back the bullets. Out of his maw spewed an amazing stream of white and blue flame, ice in the form of fire. The zombies would be burned into a frozen ash that would continue moving forward at breakneck speeds, slicing anything behind it to pieces until it's momentum died. The force-field wavered a bit as Sam's concentration diverted and several shots would make it through, hitting him squarely in the back and shoulders (He would have winced but his face was currently a skull), dissolving the bones and what flesh remained of his zombie-esque form; At least until his healing factor kicked in and began growing back at an unbelievable rate, keeping time with the enchantments until Sam had time to focus on removing the bullets. The ground would alight from the flames, casting a blue glow across the street and it would continue to spread, and burn the zombies that appeared, as it formed a large circle around him and Norman. The temperature in the circle would plummet to Arctic levels. As Sam turned around he let down the force-field and began blocking the bullets with his sword, cutting them in half and sending them ricocheting. He spared a look at Lauren and the dracolich. "OoooooO! We don't think we've ever killed a dragon before!" He seemed absolutely delighted.

Devour was teleported via a portal made by his handler to the location of the incidents.
"We don't have many reliable reports or details as of yet. The only thing we know is that a bar fight broke out, a couple of people were killed and two men began fighting. Then a portal opened and a horde of undead lumbered out. We want you to see whats going on and to see if you can put a stop to it." His handler told him over a magic message.
There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew
