The entire RP encompasses existence. This is why things like CE cannot be cannon to us, because any alternate realities, or other mutiverses would be inside of the RP already and thus part of it. Going by this, technically even our world. They're all part of existence. Going outside of that existence is hard enough. Going outside of the reality of the RP? Impossible, there is no 'outside' technically. As there are no other existences.

IF there are no other existences then we would all be of the same existence. Which means because the character is omniscient, IE knows everything, he should be able to break the fourth wall outright. However! I'm not going to argue this, I want the other staff's opinions on this matter and then I'll go with it.

I've got to admit, I figured when you said he was omniscient you were going to treat him more like an embodiment... And I thought the whole breaking-the-fourth-wall thing was a joke -- it's funny. While by reading your post it does look to be jokingly used here, we should probably clarify that breaking the fourth wall shouldn't be abused and should be a kind of joke, like Orga (or was it Nik?)'s character, the one who thinks he's really in an RP but everyone thinks he's crazy. Same with the omniscience part -- I approve that very sparingly and embodiments can't abuse that, nor should your character.

He is like an embodiment and he is going to use it sparingly, and as a joke. I asked Hiro about it and he sees no issue in what I posted, though he can't exactly say so himself at the moment so I don't really expect that to help my case. As well, Tàeolus is omniscient all the time. The limiting factor is that he has to block out most of the information stream so he can focus on what he's doing. I'm in no way attempting to abuse his power, I'm mostly just reminding Hik that "Hey, pst, I made this topic for us to RP in upon your request and it may a nice idea if you, you know, posted in it." If she doesn't want to reply to it then he can - and will - literally walk out of the topic.

My idea of Tàeolus abusing his power is somewhere along the lines of giving a person the knowledge that they're in an RP and then letting them know that they were created and their lives revolve around teenage (with some exceptions) writers.

Nnnnnoooooo...Power Abuse is using his vast knowledge of how reality works to commishion the design of several devices by sufficiently advanced empires that, when used in tandem, literally rip apart space and time.
Alternately Power Abuse is literally rewriting the knowledge contained within someone's brain/'spirit' into a exact replica of himself, or just Mind-Raping them into believing their his eternally loyal servants by changing the knowledge they possess to memories of him being their eternal Lord and Master, thereby converting endless people into his faithful minions. Knowledge doesn't merely encompass 'fact', after all. Unreal things can also be considered knowledge as long as someone 'knows' said fiction.

If Zak wants to abuse Taeolis' power, he's got as many ways as he wants to go ahead and do it. Breaking the 4th Wall doesn't actually make him any stronger nor does it necessarily make someone's head explode nor does it really do anything other than be funny. Its not really a abuse of power when nothing gets abused.

I AM NOT IN THIS RP, and I am not going to be in this RP. Breaking the wall should not be able to mean a character contact creator, or knows they're created break. I can see things like how Pinkie Pie looks at the audience sometimes. But this post? Hell no.

I never said you had to post there, just that this is technically a completely legal thing for him to do, literally being all things Knowledge. As for it being 'downright retarded', thats your opinion, which your entitled to. Same as whether or not a character should know they're a character. It doesn't matter that you aren't in the RP, its still potential knowledge that their existence is commanded by a bunch of of teenagers/adults and that free will doesn't exist except as dictated by those same people. Personally, given that he's knowledge itself(and that this, whether true or not in SP's canon, is still technically knowledge), I see nothing wrong with him being entirely aware of our 'existence'. It doesn't actually make him overpowered, he doesn't really GET anything from it, and its not like Taeolis can DO much about us not going to his wishes other than bitch and moan at us from within the Wall. Whether Zak wants to be subtle about it is his own business.

Sounds to me like someone is mixing personal issues with breaking rules. No rules were broken here, we were all made fully aware of Taeolus' power in his request. Hik is just being dramatic because she doesn't like Zak's writing choice. Too bad, we all have the freedom to use whatever humor we please.
