Nicholas Russelford had been assigned a difficult assignment and one he was unsure he was qualified to carry out actually. The assignment in question was to scout the planet Teffilin for anyone who could make a valuable addition to the squad Silas was forming. A box of MP Watches was in his possession and one of them was on his wrist and activated. Nicholas was learning about this new technology. Between it and also the science the Mechera had made, the Pseudo System AM Fields could not hold Nicholas back or at least he hoped so anyway. He had heard rumors of a retired assassin on this planet. Perhaps he or she could be a valuable asset to the cause of the Narrikians and also to freeing the slaves wherever the Anrufe kept the prisoners they had.  "Hmm, who to add to the team I am forming right now?" Nicholas was currently walking past the Market District in the black and silver uniforms of the Shadow Squadron. His official designation was the Alternative Attacker a position that meant should AM or similar go up he was called upon to obliterate the field. Nicholas was also a heavy ballistics because of his unique abilities and talents he was one of the most powerful members of the team...at least until the Anrufe came up with a counter measure.

A man wearing a black suit and a nice pair of sunglasses started to walk behind him making sure to stay unnoticed in the busy marketplace. Stopping everyfew minutes at a vendor, and moving when he almost lost line of sight, or to tie his shoe were common methods for counter-surveillance. He made sure to only study the man, but always avoided eye contact... some one was definitely watching him.

Meanwhile, in a white hover van nearby -- with the words "Zarethian Electricity Authority" printed on the side -- there were a few men huddled in the back around computer equipment, peering into computers as the van rode slowly around the market district.
"What did he just say?" one man asked, playing back audio their bugs had just picked up, "Team?"
"Coleson," another barked, "What do you have for me?"
"Still running through facial recognition, sir."

Nicholas looked around and scanned the area. It felt like someone was watching him and Nicholas did not like being followed. Silas had given him orders if followed to abort the mission immediately and that is exactly what Nicholas did. Scowling he formed a distortion field around him. Attempts to put his face or any part of him through facial recognition failed as the Zarethians had ZERO data on him. Nicholas quickly started sprinting to one of the alleys nearby.  Once in the alley Nicholas made his form shift again, but this time to become invisible to any sensors and or the naked eye and or detection by any other means the Zarethians could possibly think of using to locate him. Right now he needed to hide and plan out how he could salvage this mission that had been compromised from the moment he arrived.

The Agent stopped when he saw a distortion field get set up. "Subject is trying to take evasive action...Have parameter Agents on standby to reacquire the subject." the Agent reported in.

Inside the van, a techie overlooked the scan data from the local area. "Magical spike detected at the subject's location, and some sort of field looks to have been set up. Visual contact with the subject has been lost... wait." The techie stopped and looked at a CCTV image, and his readout of another spike. "Echo 1, we have reacquired the subject. He is in the  alley 50 meters to your left. He changed appearance, so watch out. He may be a dangerous magic user."

"Rodger that. Echo 1 is pursue. Request all Echoes move in on the target. Have the Victors on standby." The Agent reported in. "Homeland Intervention may be required." he added. He made his way over to the alley, and posted himself at the wall with his weapon drawn. He peeked around the corner to see what the subject was doing.

Nicholas teleported off world, mission failed.
