Angels and Vampires... [VAMPIRES!]

[Admiral Regis Hermitage]

In the cloudy night sky on the pleasure planet, the clouds parted to show a bright light coming from it. Down from it, descended a being clad in white and gold armor. He had 6 wings, blonde hair, and a brilliant looking helmet on. He touched the ground gracefully and the sky closed back up. This being was the Seraph, Grunder Tepper. High General of the Army of North. "Oh, Victoria...." he called out when he landed in an alley. "May i have a word with you, Vampire?"

The Vampiress saw the angel appear from the sky, descending towards the ground relatively nearby her. She ducked in a alleyway when she saw the light advancing near her; considering what normal sunlight did to her, she really didn't want to let this divine light strike her skin. Then...She heard the holy knight call out for her, specifically, at which point she did what any sane Vampire would do:She ran like hell. Being a Vampire afforded one a keen sense of paranoia towards most mortals, and when someone you dont know is looking for you, usually they're looking to put a stake in your heart. And now there was a Angel calling for her? She just outright panicked at that point.

He looked over and saw her bolt. "You dont have to run, Victoria... Im not here for you." he said very calmly. With a snap of his fingers, he appeared in front of her. Grunder did know that many beings feared him, but none so much as Vampires. For eons, organizations, on behalf of North, whether inadvertent or not, have tried slaying them.

"Im a friend of Lord Church..." He said, hoping to catch her attention.

She stumbled backwards and hissed at him when he appeared in front of her, and she looked for a way to escape before hearing what he said. She maintained a wary and distrusting stance, and still backed up a little from him, but turned her eyes towards the Seraph. "...Al...Alright...I-Im listening. What do you have to say?"

[Admiral Regis Hermitage]

"Let me please introduce myself... I am Doctor Grunder Tepper, High Seraph of the Highest Choir of Angels, and General of the Armies of North." he said. "And i seek your friend, Lord Nathaniel Church."

He approached her slowly. "I have no intention of harming you... Now, where is he." his tone never broke its intimidating seriousness.

"U-uh...C-c-could've fooled me...Um...Wh-what do you want with him?" She said, glancing to the side for about half a second before returning her gaze to him.

"Well..." He started. "Church is a person of.... interest to me." he drew his blade and examined it before resting it on his shoulder. "I need to know where he is... And i'd rather not break the Hippocratic oath..." he narrowed his eyes at her. He meant business, and was not here to play games. Around them, walls of divine light went up, blocking the exits, but did not shine upon their area. However, this would prove disastrous for her if she tried to touch or break through it.

"What do you say?"

She looked at the walls, a small shriek of fear escaping her as they went up. "I-I..." She stuttered, looking around, fear evident on her face as she looked around for a way out, but not finding one. "U-um...I...I ca...I cant...Wont...T-tell you. I w-wont betray my friend. I dont c-care if you're a Angel or a D-demon from Hell...I wont let you hurt him!"
As she said this, blood passed through the flesh of her arms, forming around and coating them. It formed into claws along her fingers, and blades down the length of her arm. She'd been practicing her Blood Magic for a while, and found it a lot more efficient to directly use her blood to attack than burn it. She didn't need to burn any blood to manipulate it, after all...and weak as she was compared to the Angelic being, she wasn't going to give up her best friend to someone who was just going to kill him.

"Your dedication to Lord Church is unfounded. He is a murderous and sadistic being. Showing no love for anyone or anything but himself, no remorse, no loyalty to anyone but himself. He has killed just for the sake of killing. He is a mistake i intend to correct, Victoria... Tell me where Lord Church is. Now." he shouted at her. He now had his blade at the ready. "I will spare you in return for his location. This is your last chance, Vampire..."

She hissed at the Angel, forgetting her fear in anger at his accusations of her friend, before screaming,"Like you all are any better! Your followers burn our kind to ash for the 'sin' of existing! I've watched those I fed off of to survive burned to ash! ALIVE! Do you have any idea what thats like, knowing that in order to survive you're turning people against their own friends!? No. Of cooooouuuuuurse not. You spend your lifetime up there in that big bright pixie land they call Heaven. Church is the only reason I've even survived this long...He's the one who let me forget the price of my life, who didn't care about the blood on my hands that I can never wash off. He's saved my life from Hunters on more than one occasion, protected me even when it placed him in danger. THIS is YOUR last chance, zealot! I dont know how I'll do it...I dont even know if I rightly can...But I wont let you hurt him...Or any of my other friends. I'll stop you, even if it means dragging you into the grave with me to do it!"

"And where is your knight in shining armor right now? He doesn't seen to be here. Where is his protection?" Grunder inquired. "I know not of his location. But the way you speak of him leads me to this. If I harm you, he will come to me." He said as he approached her, his sword still at the ready.

"Tell me and save yourself. He would do the same if he were in your position."

"Yes. Because everyone is always with their friends, and nobody ever decides to be alone for a while. And blackmail and torture! So these are the methods flying in ever-so-noble Heaven now!" She said, glaring at the holy warrior. As he approached, the blades of blood covering her forarms twitched and sharpened, and she brought them up defensively. As she did, her eyes darted through the area, before she looked directly into his. A very faint, nigh impossible to see purple glow surrounded her red irises as well.

"Unholy creatures are not subject to such mercy as I am currently showing you. My patience is running out, creature. Give me Lord Church or face the holy judgement of my blade." He said. His bright golden irises contrasted with her darker ones. "I plead once more. Hand me the monstrosity, Church, and save yourself. He doesnt consider yourself nor anyone else a friend."

The walls of light started to close in around them as Grunder approached. "There is no way out of this."

The purple glow would begin to grow brighter around her irises. Despite this, he wouldn't notice, not immediately anyways. As they looked into each others eyes, he would find his thoughts beginning to grow...Sluggish. Harder to find words. Not by a significant margin, of course, not yet...But it was beginning.
"I've already told you, I dont betray my friends. And a harsh judgement for you to make of him, zealot. Which one of us here has six wings and a full suit of armor?"

[Admiral Regis Hermitage]

"Which one of us has dedicated their whole life to helping those in need, and which one of us is a bloodsucking monster who takes the lives of others in order to save your own for a short amount of time? How many people a month does it take. 1? For you and Church? Well, Church takes more than his fair share. Maybe if he had only taken what he needed, i would not have come down personally, but he will face the judgement that North will come upon him." Grunder stepped even closer. His eyes remained locked onto hers.

Although her attempt at vampiric charm was working, it was greatly diminished. Grunder had dealt with many vampires before, and had somewhat of... a resistance to it. Of course not immunity, but it was enough to keep him free of it for a while. As he approached, he chanted...

"Ave verum Corpus natum
De Maria Virgine:
Vere passum, immolatum
In cruce pro homine:
Cujus latus perforatum
Fluxit aqua et sanguine:
Esto nobis praegustatum
Mortis in examine.
O Jesu dulcis!
O Jesu pie!
O Jesu fili Mariae!"

"Dedicated your whole life, have you? Is that what you call staying up in those fancy clouds and light for all eternity and letting this misery and suffering even exist!? I know what I am, 'angel'. I didn't ask for this, but I know Im too much of a coward to take my own life or starve to death, and that means that I have to be a monster to survive. Besides...You all up in Heaven dont take kindly to suicide, so its not like I'll get to rest in death either way." She said, staring him back down in cold contempt. "And if you must know, under optimal circumstances I need to feed once a week. It varies between individual Vampires from what I understand, but thats me. After that, the longest I've starved myself in one of my fits of random depression was about three days of debilitating agony before I passed out in the middle of the street and got a blood transfusion at some hospital, so usually I stay on schedule. Unfortunately for me, those little followers of yours with the pitchforks and wooden stakes are everywhere, and the more we have to use our power the more we have to feed. So 'optimal' circumstances pretty much dont exist for me."

She continued using her charm. As long as the Seraph was staying civil, there was no reason not to get every advantage she could while she could. And while its effect was diminished, it WAS still affecting him. As time kept on and they continued to lock eyes, its effect would strengthen, his hold on his thoughts would slip further and further away.

Grunder finally broke his gaze at her focusing it to the sky... "No matter. I have other ways of finding Lord Church. He is with the giant communist fighting robot, and dog, correct? I can only assume since they would have been here by now to save you." he deduces.

"You are not my objective, and I shall choose to spare your life.... For now." he brought his attention back to her. "But be warned. I will not be as forgiving of your sins as i am now, should we meet in the future. May Eli have mercy upon your soul when the time comes for you to account for your sins, just as Lord Church will have to do soon. Very soon, Victoria."

The walls of holy light went down immediately, but Grunder remained in place, ready to attack. "Run, little  monster.... Run." he said to Victoria. Probably a good chance to get the fuck out of there.
