The Light
« on: March 09, 2013, 06:18:36 PM »
Scans of the planet had indicated the best area to commence an operation that Silas had come up with and planned to initiate for some time now. Nicholas as the sole one sent on this operation was to somehow broker a deal with the Elementals to obtain sole mining rights to their planet and also to introduce new metals in order to get them dependent on the Narrikians for more metals.  So approaching the capital city or whatever amounted to their equivalent in the Light Continent as he had been beamed down here and had ran here all the way,  Nicholas was not armed. At least not in the conventional sense as he carried no weapon. Seeing as how he used the Pseudo System though he needed none.  Nicholas was doing this in order to give the Narrikians a vassal world because the people there would need metal to fight their wars...once it was all mined out.

Nicholas approached the walls to a massive medieval city, surrounding a large castle visible from where he was standing. Patrolling the walls and towers built into them were knights in heavy plate armor and wielding bows. If he looked carefully, he might see Balista protruding from the windows of the towers, a grave threat to any armies of Elmora who would attempt a attack. At the gates to the city, he was stopped by a pair of knights, who cross their lances in front of him. "Halt, Tech-Craft. What business have you within our city?"

"My business is a chat with the ruler of the Light Continent, a little swap if you will...of a special metal I possess. The metal will be traded for larger amounts of the metals your planet possesses such as Copper, Iron and Steel Ore.  This trade is to fund a little project going on...." Nicholas pointed his thumb up at the sky. "Up there. Once it is done, this planet will be richly rewarded."  said Nicholas with a smile.

"The King is not currently expecting anyone. You may enter the city and petition his aides for a audience, but you may not speak to him until he sends for you. Until then, I recommend you stay in a inn here in the city." The soldier responds, as he and his partner withdraw their lances and allow him to proceed further into the city.

Nicholas nodded and headed to the castle to petition the aids. The sooner he got this done the sooner he could get to Sunset City and back to his life. Little did Nicholas know that Memorial had been invaded and conquered. This also meant that Memorial had been subjected and Silas Night was dead. However as he did not know this Nicholas continued on the path to the palace uninterrupted now that the soldiers had gotten out of his way.
