The Ritual : Form of Divinity
« on: April 04, 2010, 07:07:13 PM »
Knowing as he did that the gauntlets would have to be reformed Zane had teleported to this particular world for just that purpose. He took out the metal of the Divine Gauntlet otherwise known as the Thunder Claw and prepared to reforge the gauntlet back into existence and use the energy from this world to allow it to exist once more.

Holding out his hands he began a chant. "Se Aris Ator Pos!"  Yellow light flashed and the thunder gauntlet was almost finished. He just needed to load a thunder animite into each claw of it.

As soon as he came to the continent, he was found by a group of Elemental Divine. "Halt! Who are you?"

"My name doesn't concern you. "  He concentrated and a barrier surrounded him protecting him from any of their attacks. "Once I finish forming this gauntlet I can move onto the next location. "

"It concerns us that you are upon our land without our permission, trespasser. You would do well to stop whatever it is you are doing before we are forced to have you arrested!" The man said, with one of his companions going to get a member of the guard.

Momentarily lowering the barrier he concentrated and the materials needed to make the thunder gauntlets were destroyed instantly. "Very well.. You just ruined the last chance of me handling the evil that I fought when I was young and that has returned. "

"Get off our land." The Divine said, using his summoning magic to create a angelic warrior from his shadow, which was moving with a life of its own. The angel(or at least, it looked like one), having come from the Divine's shadow, went in front of its master, awaiting commands.

"Planetary magic was used to create each of the gauntlets for fighting a great darkness. I have come here to gather the magic required for the Divine Claw Gauntlet. " He smiled. "My name is Zane."

The Elemental looked at his friend, now puzzled. "What do you have against the Elemental Darkness? They're a peaceful enough people..."

"Not the elemental darkness." Zane removed a tome and threw it to the warrior. "Page 7 : Reveal!" The book opened magically and a picture of dark shadowy beasts was on the page.

The book magically shifted pages to one revealing the elemental gauntlets.

"This is what I am trying to re-form. "

"...Thats not Divine...At least, I dont think it is..." The Elemental said, looking at it. "Our magic brings forth angels and demons to do our fighting. I dont see how a gauntlet can be of our magics..."

Thinking on what had been said by the Elemental Zane held out his palm and the gauntlet began to reform.  "Alright. Perhaps the magic he used was of a different kind but I don't know where else one could get the required energy nor did I have time to search every galaxy. "

Zane was struck. No one had ever rebuked him before when he applied the direct approach to get things done. Frowning with a scowl on his face he said "Alright. Will you help me get the gauntlet that I suspect was made by ancients of your world for my dad?"

Zane saw the crystal he wore partially turn black. "Oh crud. Listen if there is any way you can get me to the city fast...."  He seemed very nervous.

Removing a tome from his pocket Zane cast a spell that would make the wind blow behind him aiding him as he would run. He also cast a spell to take away any obstacles that possibly could slow him down. He ran forward towards that location as fast as he could.

A city came up on the horizon...Wait, no, it was a castle, wasn't it? And...was that a ledge?
Yes, there was a cliff between him and the castle, and a rope bridge linking them. In a mountainous continent, thats kinda obvious that there would be such things.

When he reached the rope bridge he uttered a chant and the bridge became made out of stone instantly. Now trusting that it wouldn't fall beneath his weight he walked across it calmly. Once on the other side he used the air behind him again and started running using the spells he had moments earlier deactivated.

He arrived at the city.

He found himself at a castle. And on this castle, there was a door. And this door, you see, it was closed, a truly massive thing. And unfortunately for Zane, it seemed the guard on door-duty today was Zeltic. Zeltic, you see, was a known trickster, at least known by the people of this castle. And he loved nothing more than to waste people's time with his pranks. No one knew why he was still a guard, but he was, and was 'guarding' the only way in the city with his own efficiency. And so, the giant of a door, it was not open.

Holding out his hand Zane unleashed a blast of wind that caused the door to open up. Zane saw the guard. "Next time don't lock the door. " His fists were crackling with electricity. He walked into the 'castle' impatiently.

Nothing happened, for the door didn't open inwardly. At the top of the wall, in the room where the door was opened, Zeltic laughted. Even if that worked, though, he'd have had to arrest the guy; there was a reason why the place had walls a giant, hardly moveable doors, and it wasn't just for the effect.
OOC:Wanna play it fer kicks about how he cant get the door open? XD I know its just mean to Zane, but it is pretty funny.

Zane looked up, saw the guard and put on a scowl. He flew up to the guy and using a telepathic spell asked him to open the door and told him about the gauntlets, showed him the tome and waited.

((He couldn't just have used his actual voice? He had to use telepathy, when he's right in front of the guy?))
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The door ostenably persisted in its closedness(Obscure Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series references FTW). Meanwhile, the guard continued laughing and then threw a pebble at the guy...From the top of a about ten story wall.
OOC:The Guards on top of the wall. Wasn't Zane at the bottom?
