"YOU CAN'T STOP ME BITCHES."

Those five words were written on a single sheet of paper, distributed to every business in a small coastal settlement in Violet. It was at about noon, in the ocean, that some fishermen near the coast, and other witnesses, reported seeing a man with a strange backpack wearing a black cloak literally walking across the floor of the ocean, right up out of the water, onto the coast, and then, proceeding to, while soaking wet, walk towards town, his hands on fire as he burned everything he touched.

This man was Zere, and his backpack, of course, contained his personal AMR field. And as he walked towards the coastal town, he could be heard humming the old anthem of the Anrufe. And, then, finally, just a bit past noon, it happened... An explosion rocked the coastal town.

The destruction had begun.

The town was beautiful. It was small, but well placed, with the outskirts lining up perfectly with the sandy shores. Alongside the roads, green grass and lively flora flourished on the well maintained scenic side paths. It was a normal day in the small city. The sun shone brightly, casting its golden rays over the rising town skyline, basking the white sand, blackened pavement and bricks in its illuminating solar glow. People of all types were walking or driving around town on various pieces of business or pleasure. Some where going to a local bar which was famous for its karaoke.

As the bar's music boomed out from the little square people flocked to it, gathering around to volunteer to sing or get a drink. One of those people was a tall, dark haired man of medium build. He wore a black leather jacket with jeans. He approached the bar, feeling the vibrations in the air as the sound waves reverberated across the medium of the air. Well, not just feeling them. He saw them too. The booming of the stereo, the off tune lyrics of the singer and even the smallest whisper of a friend to another. He could see them all if he wanted to.

He tapped his finger on his glass and watched dully as the vibrations bounced back and forth in the glass container. He began tapping his foot to the beat of the drums, the vibrations of his foot falls growing. He concentrated a small bit, and the vibrations grew. A small trickle became torrent, and a crack appeared beneath him. It grew with each tap, spreading out beneath him like a spider's web chiseled into the concrete. The ground became weaker and weaker, and more people came, attracted by the bustle and the sounds of a party. As each new person walked towards the bar, the ground became looser and looser.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

With one finally tap to the beat, the ground cracked open like a maw into the abyss. Screams and shouts filled the air and the music stopped abruptly as the band and their equipment were swallowed into the blackness. A massive cloud of gritty, brown smoke filled the air, floating up for a hundred or so feet. The screams of the dying, wounded and confused filled the city air as a once peaceful day became much, much more dangerous.
There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

OOC:...Why doesn't anyone take the time to research the actual planet itself before doing stuff on them? Zak especially since I've told you this before, but guys, there AREN'T any terrestrial cities on Violet...They're all flying in Low-Atmosphere to High-Orbit above Violet's surface.

[Military action recognized. Analyzing surrounding terrain. . .Analysis complete. Unauthorized Magic Signature detected. Looks like its heading further inland, doesn't look like he appreciates the environment either...We're deploying a AM field to stop him from setting everything on fire and preparing to wall him off. That should give you and your forces a chance to apprehend the trespasser. Should be a fairly easy mission, but we don't really know who he-What on...?]
[Lix? What is it? What did you guys over in support find?]
[Something's wrong. We deployed AM over the area, but nothings happening, and readings from the AM unit show that its overloading, fast. Im not gonna say its them, but you of all people know who it was the last time we experienced this phenomena. Just in case though, Im authorizing you to take command of a Contingent squadron. If it IS them, you'll probably need it.]

From a nearby cityship, currently flying high above the sea the man had walked out of, a AM Field was briefly deployed before being dropped once they found the result of the man's device(Currently carried in his backpack). Soon after, a squad of aerial Assault Contingent models was launched fro the underside of the city, while the ship itself readied military defenses in preparation for a attack and deployed Sniper-Model Assault Contingents along the edges of the city, in preparation for any incoming enemy attack. The models launched were as follows-
  • A single Jet-Model Assault Contingent, currently in Corvette form for the flight over to the combat area and in a leader position to the rest of the squad
  • Four Wing-Model  Mechs, two on each side of the Jet
  • Two Blade-Model Mechs, one in between the two Wings on each side
Lastly, a small fleet of Fighter-Model Assault Contingents were readied in case a larger force became necessary.

Once the Squad made it past the shoreline(They were flying, for the matter), the Jet and the two Blades used their extremely powerful detection systems to locate the intruder, focusing in on him via his magic signature. The Jet opened fire with both of its machineguns in a flyby attack while the others broke off into two groups-Two Wings and one Blade each- with surrounded the target on both sides. The Blades fired their Energy Missile Weapons while cutting a swath around the target with their sustained-beam weaponry. The four Wings meanwhile fired bursts of their machineguns, designed to let loose a barrage of energy-encased solid-shell bullets upon their enemies. Given that the size of each machinegun round fired from any of he contingents would be liable to be at least half the size as a human(considering that most Assault and Aegis Contingent Mechs are roughly two stories tall), a single hit was liable to be fatal, and there was almost absolutely no chance that he'd be able to progress any further on foot due to the by-now shredded terrain. And to make things worse for him, at the same time the Squad made it past the shoreline, a Mirror Shield was erected around the entire battlefield, with a centimeter-sized portal on one of its edges leading to about a mile from(and facing) the cityship in the air, purely to allow communications to go continue. The Mirror Shield encompassed a area from the shore to about a mile out after where the man had gotten, boxing the combatants into the combat area and preventing the target from easily fleeing.
