OOC: Fishing
« on: April 05, 2010, 08:54:48 PM »
I don't see how you can catch 6 fish from one line on Earth, especially since there was a global nuclear disaster. Radiation was taken away, yes, but the shock waves from nukes would kill most of the fish. Fish are very delicate to shock waves.

Not only that, but six fish with one fishing rod? Nope. A net, sure, but not a fishing rod. Those are one fish at a time.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

I can dispute this!

Gaser...Even so, not ALL fish would be dead. Im sure some survived, and at least six could have feasibly made it while all being near Ash Island. Not very LIKELY, but then again, since when does that have to do with anything.

Nisorin, I have actually SEEN someone do it. They put the bait on the line itself, which the fishes got, not just on the bottom part. True, they only caught sardines, but sardines ARE fish.

To catch a fish, you need to get the hook into its flesh somehow, set the hook so the barb keeps it from coming loose, and reel the fish in. Putting bait along the string will only attract fish towards the hook, not actually catch them.

*shrugs* Gaserlake brought it to my attention, acting like it was a major deal, so I played along.

Little things can make big differences...

I'm sure that the living fish would be thriving on the dead fish rather than bait, considering how many have died.

And about the line full of fish, I doubt that a fish can be caught from the line itself. They probably are fake to trick the other fish in a false sense of security.

Well, technically Fish dont 'thrive' on bait. If anything, they should've learned to avoid it by now. XD
And what difference would it make if he used a net to catch them? Furthermore, who's to say he'd caught them all at once, to defeat Nisorin's first point? Hawk never did say it was all at once, ya know. I fail to see what a big difference this would cause.

Well, this IS Hawk...I predict that no matter how ridiculous(which is good), there WILL be a plan coming from it.

Well, he's already got the fish. He wouldn't need to do anything other than that, ya know.

I like how an OOC thread about fish made it to 2 pages.
