Pedalo appeared in an abandoned temple on the edge of the city and held out his palm. "Dark Jewel to me!" Now thinking strategically he was thinking of a plan that would allow him to defeat that elemental bastard Zane along with all the minions that Zane had probably gathered. Struck by inspiration he decided to call Null and Void to his aid. Things were going to get brutal and so he decided it was time for him to teach them a new magical technique namely the Infusion so that they could use his dark powers to the fullest extent against Zane.

This would truly be a war of hopes and dreams and elementals. Not having hope would be the one thing that would defeat Zane fully and permanently and destroy his right to use the gauntlets. As long as he had any hope he would be a threat.

"Null and Void, Awaken to serve your master. " He commanded and a yellow flash struck the crystal.

"Cha, hey Void, look at this guy."
"I know, Null, using crystals 'n everything. Old geezer, eh?"
The twin fragments appeared, and the held a conversation with each other as the circled this man who called them.
"Awaken, he says."
"Master, he calls himself."
"Ah, but what evil is within him..."
"He might prove useful after all..."
They then stopped circling him, and pointing their Gears at him, they asked in unison,"So, mortal. What have you brought us here for?"

"To use you. " said Pedalo Koros.

At the moment he said those words a barrier surrounded him that was keyed to the magic of both of their gears. If they attacked with the gears their own energy would hit them. He laughed and said "Let's see the Elemental Gauntlet user Zane handle fighting you both simultaneously. I doubt his powers would work against you. "

They tilted their heads to a side. "A barrier?"
"Looks like it."
They then dropped their Gears, and focused their energies.
Void-"Know despair!"
Null-"Feel loneliness!"
"Let go of your emotions!"
"Become a empty shell!"
As they said these words, with such glee that it was impossible to imagine their faces without a malicious grin underneath, waves of despair and the feeling of being alone began to wrack Pedalos, the work of that which they were the Incarnations of-Emptiness.

However despite their spells he resisted. He made the barrier cease to exist and said to them "You may be useful to me yet. " Their spells thanks to partitions in his mind could not affect him.

"You shall first go and spy on my enemy Zane who is currently in the Earth Elemental part of this planet. I wish to know how close he is to reforging those gauntlets that nearly killed me the last time. If he has 2 or 3 of them reforged you are to merely to drain him of his desire to forge the rest. If he has any more left report back to me."

"You fools. Do you really think I wish to risk Zane merely passing on the Elemental Gauntlets before we get a chance to wipe him out? He probably already has an apprentice and a copy of each gauntlet in her possession fully enchanted by now. That is why I wanted you to spy on him while I prepared my dark armies. " Pedalo was having a hard time containing his fury which was growing against these two every second. He was tempted to seal them in a mirror but decided against it. These two would have their uses.

Pedalo was more than irritated with the work that Zane was accomplishing. I mean wouldn't the dragon have at least succeeded at killing the witch doctor at the very least? Pedalo hoped it would have until it failed which was why he was determined to stop the production and/or use of the gauntlets permanently which meant of course using his power to bring back to life his minions.

"If the gauntlets are reforged, he will be able to match powers with all 3 of us which would be very bad for us indeed. Plus his sword wielding apprentice Maxima would slice us up. Not to mention any number of Elementals he has gotten loyal to him so far."

"If as you say he is no match for your abilities then I have nothing to worry about. However since he is amassing his armies it is time that we did the same and so I task you to recruit every Dark Elemental that you possibly can to our side. We could use their help in summoning the Dark Shadow Beasts to do their job once again. " said Pedalo Koros

"Well I have come to the conclusion that we are unlikely to succeed at this or any other venture without troopers to assist us since the Divine can summon legions of soldiers which annoys me. " decided Pedalo and with that he snapped his fingers and 16 Tideans appeared. "You each will get 8. You will both go together to the fire elementals and lay waste to them so that he can't get any gauntlets enchanted."

"I can take initiative. I am only waiting until he has so much to lose. Like when he is right next to finished with the gauntlets for example is when I shall attack him so that once I kill him it ends for good. I shall wipe out those elders without mercy or compassion. Speaking of which I should go drown the fire one personally." said Pedalo Koros. He did a spell that mirrored the one they had done earlier on himself experiencing it and then quickly at the last second pulling himself back to sanity.

"I plan to remedy the fact that he has the elders with him. A very simple thing to do when all their places are in danger, they shall desert him and come running to protect their areas of this world. Of course once they do that he loses the chance to create the gauntlets which is VICTORY for me. " said Pedalo. He also knew the next phase of his plan. "First we must cut away his friends from him for with them he was able to triumph over me the last time and so our first target logically is Maxima Deylin his so called Apprentice. Her sword being used by our side will make the battle much more difficult as it is impervious to the gauntlets. "

"They're old...The probably wouldn't be allowed to fight anyways. Not by the militaries, anyways. Besides, they know that the only way to stop the battles is to stop you. They wouldn't be so stupid as to fight a meaningless battle, after all."
