Exploration and Discovery
« on: April 07, 2010, 11:30:23 PM »
The Tigrex, with both Shamai leaders Iroku and Irrelai aboard, drifts slowly around the planet Duppin, running various scans regarding atmosphere and the planet's surface.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

When they reached the planet they could see someone floating there in mid air and doing a sort of odd chant.

"Toris Zebulon Novas Seratai. Tois Zebulon Novas Seratai. Toris Zebulon Novas Seratai. " chanted Maxima Deylin her fists glowing with red fire as the fire was pulled from the planet below and into an orb she had formed. "Toris Maximum Novas Seratai. Toras Maximus Arcus Bedai!" When the orb was finished forming it transformed itself into a sword made completely out of fire.

((They're in space Hawkeye, they wouldn't be able to see someone floating in mid air, nor would they be able to hear her. Not only that, but she has no reason to even be there. And what fire is it that she's pulling from the planet? The surface is a giant pile of pudding, there wouldn't be any fire.))

Since her spell had failed Maxima immediately teleported away. Perhaps somewhere else she could form the blade of fire which would become part of the arsenal that Zane would use against Pedalo. In the mean time though she decided to leave something of hers behind and so unsheathing one of her swords she hurled it as hard as she could away from her. This way a gift would be left behind for whoever owned the ship.

As they weren't intending to land quite yet, they just let the sword sink into the pudding, continuing their scans as Iroku and Irrelai stepped into the Noursai chamber, Irrelai on his lap as they prepare to commune with the planet itself.

After three solid days of communion, crews were sent down to prepare for colonization, and the world was flagged as Relorian.

With twelve long days for preparation, Duppin is finally ready for inhabitance by the Shamai, with several of the more spiritual mages communing for hours on end with the planet itself, greeting it, conversing with it, learning from it and teaching it that which they had learned on planets abroad in return.

Iroku and Irrelai walked the planet, their magic preventing them from sinking into the pudding-like surface as they explored, narrowly avoiding one of the Pudding Wyrms, locally named Rorier.
