Mokai vs. Hikaru. Again.
« on: April 25, 2010, 10:19:05 PM »
It was announced that the match between Hikaru and Mokai would occur after-all. And so, an anxious Mokai appeared on the battlefield, ready to fight. Again.

Appearing in the arena, Hikaru looked across at Mokai. This brat was her opponent? Didn't look like much. Still, Celestie had said he was a Genesis user. That marked him a threat, and not to be taken lightly. No matter how pitiful his outward appearance may be.

"So sorry for the wait, however, a few things came up. But you should be used to that, shouldn't you? Being my brothers little stooge and all. Tell me, How is it being his bitch?" Smirking as she said this, Hikaru gave a short laugh. "I'm sure the pay is horrible. What could he possibly pay you in? Can't be sex. He has nothing to give there."

In the moment of meeting another member of the Sage 3 at last, Mokai's body prepared for battle. Markings appeared on his cheek in representation of the form of a dragon. his arms seemed to get bulkier. More muscle. His teeth seemed to grow sharper. In his hand appeared a staff which almost radiated Genesis Magic. His shoes were completely torn apart by a wave of magic released automatically from his body as it prepared for battle.

"If you speak of Master K2323, I've only heard legends of his greatness, but he has not ruled me or my people for many, many years. Emperor Xanacore was the one who I served, and now I command those who once were his people. I am sure you will find that I am a worthy opponent, even for a member of the Sage 3."

Hikaru nodded. "I see, So Celestie lied." Stepping back, she grinned slightly. "Well in that case, I'll start off by doing this."

With that she disappeared.

"Well, not the most polite way to start a match," Mokai nodded, holding his hand up. "I," he said, bowing slightly as lightning began to charge up and down his fingers, "Am Mokai, leader of the New Xanacorian Empire!"

And with that, the lightning bounced from his fingers straight towards Hikaru, latching onto her magic signature. At the same time, the entire fighting stage of the arena seemed to begin to be engulfed by a giant.. bubble of some sorts!

Lightning met flame, as the source of Hikaru's magic signature sizzled and faded out. A sphere of regular fire. She wasn't so stupid as to leave her magic signature, unsuppressed. And this mistake, would be the beginning of Mokai's downfall.

With Hikaru still well hidden, pillars of a teal magic began to rain down across the whole arena, everywhere it could reach, within the bubble. The thing was, it wasn't aiming for Mokai, and even seemed to be avoiding him, at every possible chance. Then, at every strike, when the pillar met the arena ground, a spell circle was made, spreading out from the bottom of the magic. This continued until the entirety of the arena ground was covered in interlinked spell circles, all radiating with a strange teal glow.

Their effect unknown for now, the pillars then aimed at Mokai, sparking with an electrical surge of magical energy. Not Revelation, Phoenix, or any other of Hikaru's known magic types. But of a different kind, as had been all she had used in the battle so far.

"Come to surface, Haiyashu!"

Mokai was now in the air. The bubble was significantly less small now, covering only the floating form of Mokai as he began to change. His fingers began to transform as he grew claws.. And soon after, his entire lowerbody began to merge into one form. He was slowly but surely transforming into a dragon. This form of Genesis Magic was something neither K2323 or Kai had been yet able to manage, as their power was Genesis in a split form.

Suddenly, from the form of Mokai, it seemed text was being written. Text written in fire flew off from his body, floating through the air. In all directions, the strings of text made from fire flew down and anchored themselves on the ground. And then, they were no longer strings of text. They were chains of fire. These chains of fire connected the floating bubble to the ground, though the bubble remained in the air.

The very ground of hell began to pulse. It was Genesis Magic. Genesis Magic was attacking the spell circles.

With nothing to hit, the pillars of magic faded, their job now done. The spell circles upon the ground however, still had their uses. As they had not been activated, and were just dormant marks, even with Genesis magic attacking, it would hold no point. But was it even a spell circle?

Finally out of hiding, Hikaru appeared far above in the air of the arena. But higher than Mokai. In her hands the Revelation book lay open, and the pages seemed to be a lit with amber energy. Out of the pages, however, a lavender mist flowed outwards, spilling from the book and filling the arena, rather fastly. The effect of mist?
The fighters would soon find out, that all signatures of magic would be cloaked. It would be impossible to sense anything outside of the 5 normal senses.

"Shroud of Tartarus, dull thy enemy, Gate of Exodus, open thine path."

At command, the spell circle began to solidify. Each marking turning into a ring of sorts, copper, gold and silver. Binded with brass and circular in shape. The center however, just disappeared, taking the bottom of the arena with it. Out of the center, a white choking, and ghostly type mist covered every inch, making it impossible to see through the circle, that was now a gate.

"Flood of Sheol, bind thou to Gehenna." Finally finishing the spell, Hikaru slammed the book closed, as underneath the white mist, something seemed to be happening. Burgundy flames began to snake out, causing the ground to quake, almost as if it was shuddering. As soon as the flames reached the chains, that now went into the mist, the chains began to be pulled, dragging what they were attached to slowly into the white mist its self. The mist that seemed to be alive, and what lie beneath it, hidden.

And then, it happened. Transformation. The chains all broke, as the bubble no longer surrounded Mokai, but engulfed the chains. The chains all flew right into the mist, combining there, and exploding. Mokai, meanwhile, had almost completely transformed into the form of a dragon. He opened his mouth and let out a gulp of fire, straight into the explosion coming from the mist; The result was another explosion which shook the entire arena.

And as the explosion erupted, the Genesis Staff of Mokai which had been floating above his form sank into the scaled skin form of Mokai, and a great blast of energy was given off from his form. His clothes tattered as a great gust of wind was brought about the entire arena.. And then, fire rained down from above as the dragon form of Mokai completely came about, roaring.

And so, the great beast opened its mouth, and particles of energy came to form inside it as a great ball of Genesis Magic formed. The dragon gave a roar and this ball flew up towards Hikaru.

Hikaru disappeared. Her location cloaked by the lavender mist, The Shroud of Tartarus.

At the instant she disappeared, Burgundy flames accompanied by Ivory vines and thorns, shot up out of the white mist, and heading for the dragon form of Mokai.
The white mist its self however, seemed to just linger there, the things beneath it moving ever so slowly. Seemingly, unaffected by the explosion. After all, what kind of explosion could destroy something of ethereal existence?

As for the gate. If you looked closely you would see that it had become slightly larger, and gaining more ground every second. Heading to the hellfire around the arena.

The flames hit, however, and latched onto the Dragon. While the gate widened enough to hit the hellfire. Once the two had collided, the white mist began to flow out of the gate, and consume the hellfire. At the mists touch, the hellfire began to crystallize, and break. Falling to pieces and allowing the gate passage past the arena, consuming the ground everywhere it gained width. Once the hellfire was out of the way, the mist began to flow out to to the audience and up the burgundy flames, taking the shape of ghostly birds. Birds with the effect of draining and destroying the spirit of everything they touched.

The moment the Hellfire barrier begins to break, the Relorians in the stands all rise to their feet, their eyes closed and chanting in unison. Great fields of green, blue and silver spread about, surrounding the outside of the gate. The fields bar passage, much like the Hellfire barrier had. The difference was that the fields hardened around the gate, enabling the Relorians, lead by Nisorin and Celestie Lertis themselves, to carve glyphs and wards into the Curicite barrier, pushing back against the gaping Gate. Animas, floating just feet above the top of the dome, shouts down at the Avenger. "Watch what you're doing girl! If you're not careful, you'll swallow yourself up!"
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Reacting to the attack, the barriers around the fighting area of the arena suddenly reactivated with something different from hellfire. It was Debare'vus. Black Destruction. A dark spell which produced a new three-layer barrier of a black kind of hellfire. The mist in the stands suddenly began to be burned by the fire which lit upon each 'bird'. The gate also lit on fire, the grounds of hell regrowing.

Mokai, however, was left to deal with the threat imposing his life. Hell could not intervene in the match, only in the security of hell itself. And so, Mokai opened his mouth, and from it came..

Water. White water came gushing out of his mouth, filling up the fighting area of the arena quickly, high into the air, its walls existing as the barriers of Debare'vus. The white water's genesis quickly locked the white mist inside the water itself, inside its very being. Inside the white water, trapped, was the mist.

Before the fire could destroy the gate completely. Out of the last of the mist, finally came what had been lurking beneath.  A great stone Ark, prism in shape, and pouring blood from every inch of it, alit with the white mist. All around it, a ring of seven golden bowls floated in midair around, pouring out their substances into the white water. As the substance, a thick red, liquid like that of blood, but even thicket, hit the white water. The water began to evaporate, and the mist was released.

While this was happening, a resounding trumpet blast out of nowhere was heard within the arena, shaking the whole part of Hell they were in, and causing the first layer of the black hellfire to crack.

Then a second trumpet blast, accompanied by hail and burgundy fire, pouring from the bowls and shooting out everywhere. The second layer fell down.

And last, a third trumpet blast, all around the ark its self, eyes began to open up. Covering every last inch of it. Out of the eyes, beams of revelation magic shot at Mokai, along with the hail and fire. While the third, and final layer fell down.

With the barrier now gone, the gate was allowed to grow again. Out of it, creatures, all corrupted forms of holy beings began to pour out along with more white mist. Ethereal creatures, of ghostly attributes.  These also went after Mokai, and the stands as well.

By now, Mokai was well gone. His consciousness had been completely destroyed by the excessive fighting, existing only if he were to use all of the powers within his soul to reverse the damage. Or... He could always preform that move. And apparently, his dragon instincts were telling him to try the latter. If it worked, the destruction would be at maximum.

A great blast of Genesis Magic resounded from the form of Mokai as his entire being began to fall to the ground. What was he doing!? And then, it happened. The falling dragon transformed completely. It became a golden flash of light which would turn anything it touched to dust twice-over. This power was not the power of Mokai, but the power of another being.

Lucifer, who stood amazed in the viewing stand, now realized what was happening, his reaction slowed by the numbing of certain senses thanks to the surreal mists around the arena. His reaction was one of pure shock. He himself instantly raised a reverse barrier around the form of Mokai, trapping the golden light inside the barrier... And the barrier cracked!

But before the golden light could spread very far, it seemed to diminish, its effect now over. A significant amount of the white mist as well as the creatures had been efected by the golden light, though some still remained. Mokai stood on the ground, and a golden aura seemed to be floating around him. He was in his sage form again, but something was different about him. He had.. advanced.

"Hikaru," he announced, his voice echoing throughout the arena, much deeper than usual, "I have carried with me the burden of the spirit and soul of the Genesis King for many days, but those powers have been passed down now to three of my grandchildren, and I have a bit of a mind now of who those grandchildren are."

There was a twinkle in his eye.

"Two of those grandchildren have already unlocked the powers of Genesis. One.. has not. There is light shining through now, and the laws of existence will eventually rewrite themselves, but for that to happen, the third grandchild of mine must unlock her powers. As for me, I've advanced myself now. I have become the thirteenth Genesis General. Last alive of the Genesis Elite. I must go and assure the repopulation of our kind, but first.. I must assure that the powers of Plex do not end up in the wrong hands. And so, I grant you, Hikaru Tyris, unlocking!"

A white light spread over the entire arena, flowing into Hikaru, and when it was over, Mokai was gone. In his place, two notes were left in envelopes, one to Nisorin and one to the Sage Three.

A referee appeared on the field and declared Hikaru victorious. The battle was over.

Hikaru appeared in the air, floating amongst the mists at the very top of the arena near the ceiling. It seemed the white light had revealed her location, forcefully.
With the battle over, the white mists seemed to disperse. The lavender mists, as well as the creatures, and ark however, lingered. The battle may have been over, but Hikaru wasn't done.

Disappearing, she reappeared near enough to grab the notes, before teleporting back to her former place. That done, the creatures, the hail, as well as the fire, all shot at Lucifers location, accompanied by blasts of energy, larger this time, from the eyes of the Ark.

Thanks to the Avenger state, Hikaru was too far gone to really care for what had just taken place yet. She just wanted to kill her enemies, all of them.

And all hell broke loose.

It was the power of Lucifer which, upon seeing Hikaru's state, came into action. The very air around Hikaru's assets of attack caught on fire, the very fabrics of the artificial mortal-plane-air which existed in Mortality's Planes changing just around her attacks, becoming nothing but air on fire, lit with Debare'vus.

Lucifer was no longer in the viewing deck. Now, he was behind Hikaru, floating as well. In the instant which he arrived behind Hikaru, he whispered, "Koty's alive.. In Erebus."

And then, before she could even attack him, he was gone again, this time in the stands, near Animas, who he had just come to notice. A shroud existed behind the two, assuring that anyone in the stands would not realize that Lucifer was among them. Lucifer looked up to Animas and nodded. "It comes as no shock to me that you had something to do with this."

"Grrr, damn serpent." Hikaru growled, as the rest of the mist and Ark now gone. "I'll destroy you before this tournament is over! That's a fact Lucifer." She then teleported to Erebus, first teleporting the note she had grabbed for Nisorin, over to Celestie. But keeping the other till she could reach the rest of her brothers.

They merely smile and shake their head. "We are the reason why she did not start the match off with that attack. It is not ourselves that caused her mental state to degenerate, but your tournament." They explain, still looking over the arena as she sees the Relorian shield now wrapped around each other.

Teleporting behind Hikaru just before she teleports away, Nisorin and Celestie trade glances before joining together in a telepathy spell, 'knocking' before finalizing the connection.

"Yes," Lucifer replied, nodding, "But you did make that ritual, did you not? You are stubborn ones, there is no doubt about that fact. Though I must say, that Mokai kid held up nicely to the strength that she brought about.. And the next fight shall be interesting as well. Veritas and Akylos."

At the mentioning of the next fight, Lucifer began to warp Celestie and Nisorin to the contestant area in order to clear the field as it began to be repaired.

The spell seems to have trouble getting a grip on them, due to the compounded barrier array still surrounding them from the fight. "That power was her own, and we made that ritual for ourselves long before Hikaru even met that man. It is not our fault others wished to learn it as well, and then teach it to more." The combined voices of Animas counter before standing. "we have business to attend to, as you yourself do as well. Farewell, old friend. May you find your partner."

Lucifer shuddered at the last part of Animas's speech. Time and time again, he had been haunted by such things. Now, he had to get out of here. He sighed, teleporting back to the viewing deck to watch the next match.

Animas sighs as well as he leaves, a soft smirk spread across their face. "It is your own own fault she is not with you, after all." They say under their breath, before teleporting away as well.
