Brood King of the Lorcar
« on: May 02, 2010, 06:18:56 PM »
Name: He has a couple of names. Those who aren't the same species as he seem to have a liking to calling him the Brood King. His subjects merely call him King. However, he prefers the name Delton, out of a sentimentality.
Age: His current body is somewhere around 50 years old, but his mind would be more in the centuries of age.
Race: Lorcar Brood King
Alliance: The Lorcar, of course!

The figure of a male appears on the screen, obviously ecstatic. He is wearing what could only be assumed to be lab clothes, due to the obviously alien design, and is in a laboratory
"Journal Entry 1
Date:Sotar 7, 17384 GF
Location:The Holy Empire's Homeworld, Daltor.
Everything is going better than we ever imagined! Project DELTON is a major success! We've successfully genetically created the first artificial multi-cellular species known to Zetkind! Its small and just a baby at this point, but its shown extreme intelligence at its current stage, and seems willing, no, hungry to learn! Its the perfect creature for a being such as us scientists! We'll perform a few more experiments, of course, and even we dont know much about our creation, but it all looks so promising...! We're going to do so many great things with this technology, so many things can be accomplished! I cant wait to te-"
The screen turns to static for a few seconds, the image of the man appearing a few times, distorted by the corruption of the data.
The screen then shifts to show the same male, this time eating some sort of pastry. He looks relatively content.

Alright, so the specimen has been doing well. We've been able to figure out that it is a voracious eater, and carnivorous towards basically everything except Zets, which is good, because we'd rather not be eaten, heh. Anyways, we decided to see how it would respond to Holo-Vids. Interestingly, it grew bored of the best of them, instead changing the channel to educational programming. Whats puzzling is that this was the first time that we've-Oh, this is good, what did Merv call it, a Burznap? I'll have to get another one tomorrow-that we've shown it a Holo-V, and we hadn't explained how to work it before. Very interesting, very interesting indeed..."
The screen turns to static, then changes to show the same male again. This time he looks like something horrible has happened...
"Alright, um, Entry 3, was it?
Date:Dortal 30, 17385 GF
Location:Same place as usual, Daltor.
well, um, I guess that DELTON wasn't as harmless as we'd have imagined. Looks like he heard Merv's diary. Poor Merv, though with the way he phrases things, I guess he had it coming. Anyways, we went into the room we're keeping DELTON in to find Merv lying in pieces. It looked like the subject tore him apart, and when we got in there, he was eating Merv. Thing was...Somehow, Merv was still alive as he was being eaten...Delton, though, didn't act like anything was wrong, and after cleaning itself up, he went up to us the way he usually does. As soon as he took his attention off of Merv, though, Merv died...Was DELTON keeping Merv alive? How was he doing it? So many questions, so little answers...The others want to kill DELTON...But I cant...Even through all that, its been like a son to me. I cant kill him...I wont let anyone else either!"
The screen once again cuts to static, and he reappears. Only...Somethings different. He seems off, almost not the same person. He has a face of joy, though...And is covered in a green liquid, most likely their blood.
"Entry 4
Date:Contec 24, 17385 GF
Location:Daltor
Delton is safe, now and forever. The dissenters have been taken care of, and they will never harm Delton or anything else. His plan shall be enacted, and there shall be nothing to stop him. Delton...the KING...He shall smite everything in his way. We, those of us who have chosen to follow him, are now going to spread his message, and will destroy any who get in his way. All hail the Brood King, Delton! But before anything else, he has commanded for us to create his citizens, and to get them by any means necessary, even by using the biomatter of the Zets!"
The screen once again cuts to static and then shows the figure one last time, in a heavy panic this time. He looks terrified, and the room is barricaded, and everything in it seems damaged.
"Entry 5
Date:First day, After Crisis
Location:Dal-I mean...Maltruse
Delton...We never knew he could be capable of this. He controlled us...Our minds...We became puppets. Ker...Silmet...I cant believe I killed them...Listen, anyone watching this, Delton...He's loose, inside the research facility. He controlled us, made us make those others. He called them Factory Classes...He's unstoppable with the army he's made. I can only hope the lockdown will contain him. Im the only one left...He had his 'Factories' tear them apart, and devour them for their biomatter. If you're watching this, though, then I guess you're alive. Get out as fast as you can! He'll kill us all...And if this is my family, Im sorry for what I've done. My children...I promise I'll make it out alive...I...I..."
He shakes as the sound of footsteps rumbles through the room. The barricade shakes as its pounded, and is torn apart by the Brood King, who forces his way in. The man is too scared to even turn around as he is impaled by what is assumed to be Delton's claws, who lets out a roar and the screen turns to static.
END RECORDING.

Weapons: Bone Swords, teeth, his feet...His body, basically.
Equipment:
Magic Level: N/A(not many Magic species have been encountered by the Locar as of right now; this is subject to change when necessary)
Psyker Level:5
Appearance:

*Lorcar Only, unless someone else makes another Psyker race. If ya want to use these as the guidelines for any other psychic character, I ain't stopping ya, but these are meant to explain Lorcar*

Psyker Levels are as follows:

1 = Weak Psyker. About all they can do is mild telekietics, and aren't able to easily move objects already in motion. Alternatively, they might have a slight ability to read minds, but what they can read is vague and not very useful.
2 = Moderate Psyker. Better than level 1, but still not the best. They have a better control with telekinesis, and can more easily control things, capable of stopping things that are in motion if they aren't to heavy. Or, if they have powers pertaining to the mind, they have a better ability to decipher what they read in the minds, and can affect certain things of their foe's mind, such as causing them to have migraines or become drowsy.
3 = Strong Psyker. These can use telekinesis and even possibly pyrokinesis with great control. they can easily break the control of a level 1 off of a object and control it themselves, and with a little more effort, do the same against a level 2. They can also use their foes weapons against them, by smacking them with their own weapons. In the case of powers pertaining to the other's mind, these ones can view the minds of others with great clarity, and can cause even greater forms of migraines in others, and even cause them to fall asleep.
4 = Great Psyker. While their power is not actually greater than that of a level 3, they CAN actually use all of the level 3 abilities at the same strength as one, making them superior.
5 = Brood King Level. Superiority incarnate, when it comes to Psyker abilities. They possess all of the abilities of a Psyker, and are better than most any others. When facing one of these, you'd better be f&%$ing prepared.
6 = Unholy Psyker. In terms of the Lorcar, only the combined power of the Hive Mind could feasibly achieve such might, and it hasn't a body or even a mind, sort of. In terms of anything else...Only the gods would know of a being with the potential for such might. EVENT ONLY.

Approved.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
