I managed to lock myself out of my computer, messing around.....*cough*stupidwin7theme*cough* Shut up, don't want to hear it, usually I know what I'm doing...
Either way....It says explorer.exe failed to open, and starts up with a black screen. I try ctrl+alt+del to open Task Manager, and that fails to open, probably corrupt.
Trying to fix it, if can't will be mobile.
Nevermind, fixed it and gave up.
That theme, as well as others, required patching, as well as manually editing shell32.dll.
Renamed shell32.dll to shell32.dll.bak, and it still wouldn't change to the new shell32.dll, and said things were open. Even after taking ownership.
So I tried to restart, thinking maybe it had to re-enable its self.
Bad idea, got the error where explorer.exe and taskmanager wouldn't open. Therefore stuck with black screen, regular, and safe mode.
Tried everything, even System Restore.
FINALLY, was able to use /sfc scannow in command prompt mode on safe mode.
Ugh. Bad ass, Windows 7 themes, not worth it.
