Whereas magic is a biochemical/divine reaction within the body which makes use of the soul organ to perform such chemical reactions, essence is the taking of energies found naturally within the body and converting them into energies which can manipulate space. Essence's distinguishing factor is that it is only possible when the mind is aligned in a certain way with the spirit and soul.

Well AM fields would stop the bio-chemical reactions but they would not effect the Essence from taking the body's own natural energies and converting them which is how it functions.

See it uses energy naturally found inside the body but I didn't specify as to which part of the body it pulls the energy from.

There's not that many types of energy types inside the body of a human or sage.
If it's another race, then define how their body is, otherwise, this is stupid, and just another ploy to get around AM fields, that doesn't make any sense.

No...Psionics involves direct psychic power. This is saying that it uses other naturally occuring chemicals in the body to substiture whatever fuels magic(for the beings that magic works like that, anyways). Hence, AM fields dont work on it as well, since it doesn't work the same, but it'd probably be a little more inefficent.

But, other than saying the mind needs to be in balence with the soul, it doesn't require any brainpower, so it isn't Psionics.

Psionics is direct psychic power, yes. But it doesn't just come out of nowhere. It's a manipulation of the energy known as Psi. IRL, and RP as well. It's an energy type that's everywhere and has many places to draw from, MAINLY, the body. Mind. So, in reality, is a lot like Psionics.

And so let me get this straight. Essence takes the chemicals in the body instead of those Divinity Particles (Lame,) and converts them to magic?
Again, what chemical or energy and what race? Don't say human, because humans don't have souls, they have spirits. Don't say sage, unless they're genetically enhanced, because sages wouldn't have this chemical, or they'd have unlocked it by now.

So detail it. Or not approved. After you say what it is, we'll go over AM fields.

Warrior Humans, Evolved Humans and Tideans can currently perform this technique. The energy is drawn from their nervous system and from their body as well as from around them.

For the nervous system, again, WHAT CHEMICAL?

Don't just tell me, "body," "mind," "around them.
Tell me what chemical, what energy, what method.

Also, evolved humans, would STILL, not have souls, unless they implanted themselves with them.
Which, I already created artificial souls, so you'd have to find another way to get a soul.

Did they genetically alter their bodies? Did they inject themselves with a chemical? How?
What? Elaborate it, dammit.

Why would a human have evolution of a soul? There needs to be a reason.

Serotonin has been used as a neurotransmitter since very early in nerve system evolution, and is found in all bilateral animals where it mediates gut movements and the animal's perception of resource availability. In the simplest animals resources are equivalent with food, but in advanced animals such as arthropods and vertebrates resources also can mean social dominance. In response to the perceived abundance or scarcity of resources the animal's growth, reproduction or mood may be elevated or lowered. Recent studies involving the serotonin transporter gene 5-HTT have shown that the short allele of this gene increase synaptic serotonin levels. These genetic studies have demonstrated that serotonin has strong associations with depression in regards to a negative environment. This chemical in the Warrior Humans causes a bio chemical reaction which translates their magic into the power of Essence which due to being different from magic allows for use inside AM fields. And as for the soul, the Evolved Humans have taken souls from magic users who were near death and implanted it inside of themselves but thanks to Seratonin it produces Essence and not magic.

Magic has been used increasingly on Earth, of the Soul variety(dont say it hasn't, especially with Legion around), and as humans are quite adaptive creatures, its hardly unfeasible to say that its the new presence of magic that would spur such.

It wouldn't evolve that fast. Last I checked, it takes years and years and years and years to evolve. Magic hasn't been used on earth, THAT LONG.
And if it was magic that caused souls, then they would use magic, not Essence.

See? Essence takes the natural energy of the body rather than being a reaction which is what the AM fields would block, is the reaction that causes magic to occur.

Magic would be the result of the chemical reactions aforementioned. Essence is the manipulation of the energy within the body that occurs naturally rather than forced to by the chemical reactions.

AM Fields suppress though. It holds back magic from being created outside the body. It doesn't do anything to internal magic its self. So healing, etc, would work.
Even if Essence is a different reaction, it would still be suppressed, since it's outside the body.

Essence takes the energy inside the body and after changing that energy into a form that can affect reality externalizes said energy out of the body allowing for the energy to be used in a form with similarities to magic.
