Keep in mind that JROTC is a program funded by the United States Military, and taught be experienced Officers and NCOs. It isnt to teach people how to fight. Its to teach people how to be leaders, and to help people become better citizens. So, for all intensive purposes, my 4 years of experience counts as; A- Leadership Training, and B- Partial Military Training. Because, yes we did do physical things that the military does. Rope bridges, rappelling, marksmanship, drown-proofing, obstacle courses, living in tents with 9 other dudes on cots, eating MREs.
So, with that said, excuse me for using real life principles that were taught to me by a MILITARY program over the course of 4 years (Which have been proven to work in real-life) to try to organize an otherwise chaotic mess. I've never stated anyone to be my soldiers, or "Lackies". I've never stated myself to be a "Commander". or K2 as my "Second-in-command". Ive said that i was a Team Leader, and that the staff were the team, and i simply pointed out the responsibilities of each.
On a final note, Swift... You dont have to go to war to be a good leader, or to gain any sort of military knowledge. Not every one in the military will see action, hell some arent even designed to. I've not witnessed the atrocities of war, nor have i ever driven a military vehicles. These arent things that make leaders... You'd know that if you were one. Had i joined the military, i would have proudly gone to fight for my country, its freedom, its citizens, and would have kept the Creed, and Oath to "Be prepared to uphold the Constitution" and to "Defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic." That makes me a patriot... not stupid or a liar. Nam does stuff to people, Yuke. Keep that in mind when you listen to Mr. Churchill.
Stop.
Using.
My.
Real.
Name.
It violates my privacy. And you know god damn well I don't want my real name broadcasted online. You do realise that's baiting/offensive. And I will report you if you type my real name one more goddamn time. You're not getting closer in gaining my friendship/trust/faith back by doing this.
On that note, I don't even care if you were or weren't in military. You go join a war and have fun watching friends die in it.
Nam does things to people, sure. But no one, NOT A SINGLE FUCKING PERSON, would be so willing to hop into war. Before the war, it appears patriotic. During the war, it's about keeping your comrades and bretheren alive. Churchill said that. And the Guest speaking who was in the Vietnam war said it.
It doesn't matter if you're fighting for your country. That's only the cover of it. When in a war you want to keep your group alive so you're not the last man standing.
You think it's all guts and glory for the pride of the nation, but it's not. It's a political struggle. And you treat it like it's proving something great just to fight the enemy. Well, fine. Fight the commies, big whoop. On the outside, red vs freedom. On the inside? Defend your post and your friends.
You fail to see that.
Let's see about that whole leader of the team thing? A true leader makes decisions based on his or her group's ideals. They listen. They consider the thoughts. They try to make the best decision for the memberbase. You went against our ideas and thoughts. Instead you're making it worse. Here's an example: host switch. No one agreed to it. Only you did. Everyone knew Dan. No one but you knew kyle. And switching from a known person to a stranger is not what the group wanted.
People are accustomed to persons the majority knows and is comfortable with. Not a complete stranger who stabs your back for disagreeing with the only person he/she knows and then sends in more persons to ATTACK members.
