The Serpencullis
From the dawn of time on the planet Zed, the Serpencullis were created simultaneously with the Whooma. There is a divine bond created between them. The Serpencullis can manipulate the thoughts of creatures by making contact with their skin, but they have to be of weaker will, strong willed people are impossible to manipulate, except by exceptionally strong Serpencullis. The Whooma are strong willed creatures, and in order to tame one you have to very convincing in your power. This bond between Serpencullis and Whooma has kept both races alive throughout the centuries, and the Serpencullis have developed traits similar to the Whooma native to their region.
As far as appearances, the Serpencullis are similar to humans. The skin is scaly, but tan. Some of them can have blue green scales, however. They do not have hair, but do develop horns instead.
The Whooma
The Whooma is the collective name for a variety of creatures that are similar biologically but not all connected. The kind depends on the region. Some have wings, some are wingless. Some walk on four legs, some on two. Some breath fire, some ice, some don't breath at all. The many types are as follow:
Lamron
Considered the standard of Whooma, the Lamron are the most widely distributed across the planet Zed. The are Quadrupeds, with large batlike wings. They have hard scales, but not as hard as some of the other races. They are some of the more intelligent Whooma, but do not speak with their voices. They do not breath anything like fire, but have very strong tails. Their strength, for Serpencullis, is their ease of training, and their general lack of weaknesses against weather conditions and other Whooma. They grow anywhere from 25-40 feet in length, and 6-8 feet tall, and their colouring is generally drab tans, grays, and greens.
Onrefni
Born and raised in the volcanic regions of Zed, the Onrefni are tough, hardy, stubborn, hot-headed and hard to train. If you harness their power, however, you will be rewarded. The Onrefni are quadrupeds without wings, but they are capable of spewing magma and fire from their mouth. Magma can be excreted through their sweat glands too. Their weakness is sub zero temperatures, and prolonged immersion in water or repeated dowsing with water. They grow, on average, 40-50 feet long, and are usually 10 feet tall. Their scales are always a solid orange or red.
Retaw
These Whooma are unique in that they are legless, wingless serpents. They have gills, but are capable of traveling out of water as long as they stay moist. They spout massive, devastating jets of water from their mouth, and they serpentine nature makes them difficult to fight. Their weakness is losing their moisture and being out of water. They grow about 60-80 feet long, and are colored blue gray.
Gnintil
A unique and rare Whooma that harnesses the power of lightning. They spawn from eggs in lakes and rivers, and grow as serpents. They are always the top of their food chain, channeling electricity through their body to devastate fish. As they grow, however, they develop wings and legs and leaved the body of water. The grow wool, with they use to gather electricity, and fly high above the mountain in lighting storms. Their wings gather electricity from the air well flying. They are hard to find, but once discovered, are not hard to tame. They are a little smaller then most Whooma, growing on average 20-30 feet, and 6-7 feet tall. They are colored yellow.
Digirf
In the cold, arctic regions of Zed are these intense creatures. Highly hostile, they are among Zed's hardest to tame. They are large, can fly, but are als adept swimmers, capable of holding their breath for long periods of time, and breath freezing ice breath. They grow at similar sizes to the Lamron, and are always colored pure white with blue eyes. Highly intelligent, they can speak in the native Zed language and have the longest life span of all Whooma.
Roirraw
Wingless, fierce creatures that are easy to tame, the stand on two legs, with large clawed arms used as manipulators and for fighting. They are tall, but not as intelligent as most Whooma, but spectacular fighters. They have a ferocious bit, a mean tail for clubbing, and vicious clawed hands. They stand 12 feet tall. Colored faint yellows, oranges, and browns.
Monev
Inhabiting the swamps and other murky, dark places of Zed, these dragons are the smallest of the whooma. They are bipedal, with small arms and wings that enable them to fly small distances. The have horns and spike covering their body, if poked with any of them, a poison is emitted with lethal results. These Whooma can spit corrosive acid and poison that immediately absorbs through bare skin to infect the unfortunate soul who got in it's way. 6 feet tall, 8 feet including wings. Colored very dark purples and black, with spots.
Trid
Wingless, quadrupedal, these Whooma are strong and burrow through the ground, popping up to snatch unwary creatures on the surface. Hard to find and tame, but easy to train, these creatures are usually found in the desert. Very good sense of hearing allows them to detect creatures through fifty feet of dirt. 25-30 feet long, 5-7 feet tall. Always sand colored.
Draziw
The rarest and most unique Whooma, these creatures are bipedal with wings only capable of gliding. They are the most intelligent Whooma, capable of speaking in Zed language with a large vocabulary and using magic. They stand 8-10 feet tall, and their color greatly varies.
Leets
Hiding deep in the ground, these are remnants of an ancient war among the Whooma, and have been in hibernation for centuries. There scales are almost impenetrable, and are the hardest of all Whooma scales. Quadrupedal, with large strong wings. 50 feet long, 10 feet tall, chrome scales.
