FORMER: Race Request Topic
« on: August 06, 2010, 12:48:02 AM »
This could be pinned plz.

Ok, every so often, we have a new race added to our collective whole on Shattered Planes. And since we use the character request forum they get brushed under the mat like some of the characters. On Cosmic Empires we had a pinned topic for the race requests to go in to differentiate them and keep them stored where we can all look at them easily.

There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The Stranafos

Long ago, on the planet we know as Agira, Humans somehow landed. This was long before space travel, but they found themselves in a new land. On their neck, was a strange indentation, two connected circles. What had actually happened, was these humans had been abducted by the Tal, who had dropped them here for an Experiment. The indentation on their neck was where they had injected them with a very special serum. The point of the serum was to try and and quicken evolution, however, since evolution was not the process in which humans were created, they had different side affects. The people were stronger, aged at a slower rate, and were also smarter. These heightened Humans called themselves the Stranafos, and in addition to these common traits, some of them developed other powers.

The powers were many and varied. But as the Stranafos bred, they found their children retained only one of their traits, and that was their intelligence. After centuries, the Stranafos had developed a great empire and had developed space travel. After landing on Earth and stealing their technology, the Stranafos developed their own, almost perfect, versions of earth's weaponry, as well as other technology. However, the Tal came back to check on their experiment, and when they did, they found the Stranafos too strong.

The Tal destroyed them, after a long campaign, to finish what they had started. However, not before the Stranafos has stolen the serum their originals were injected with, and had left storehouses of their weapons, and technology, under ground.

Those weren't the only secrets buried...

In a nutshell: They are humans who were artificially enhanced. The originals were distinguishable from most humans in that they were in perfect physical condition, and the others are impossible to identify, except by their IQs. They are extinct, but some were left in hibernation in their secret underground storehouses.

So the current Stranafos generation has no physically distinguishing characteristics from humans?

Approved.

The Serpencullis

From the dawn of time on the planet Zed, the Serpencullis were created simultaneously with the Whooma. There is a divine bond created between them. The Serpencullis can manipulate the thoughts of creatures by making contact with their skin, but they have to be of weaker will, strong willed people are impossible to manipulate, except by exceptionally strong Serpencullis. The Whooma are strong willed creatures, and in order to tame one you have to very convincing in your power. This bond between Serpencullis and Whooma has kept both races alive throughout the centuries, and the Serpencullis have developed traits similar to the Whooma native to their region.

As far as appearances, the Serpencullis are similar to humans. The skin is scaly, but tan. Some of them can have blue green scales, however. They do not have hair, but do develop horns instead.

The Whooma

The Whooma is the collective name for a variety of creatures that are similar biologically but not all connected. The kind depends on the region. Some have wings, some are wingless. Some walk on four legs, some on two. Some breath fire, some ice, some don't breath at all. The many types are as follow:

Lamron

Considered the standard of Whooma, the Lamron are the most widely distributed across the planet Zed. The are Quadrupeds, with large batlike wings. They have hard scales, but not as hard as some of the other races. They are some of the more intelligent Whooma, but do not speak with their voices. They do not breath anything like fire, but have very strong tails. Their strength, for Serpencullis, is their ease of training, and their general lack of weaknesses against weather conditions and other Whooma. They grow anywhere from 25-40 feet in length, and 6-8 feet tall, and their colouring is generally drab tans, grays, and greens.

Onrefni

Born and raised in the volcanic regions of Zed, the Onrefni are tough, hardy, stubborn, hot-headed and hard to train. If you harness their power, however, you will be rewarded. The Onrefni are quadrupeds without wings, but they are capable of spewing magma and fire from their mouth. Magma can be excreted through their sweat glands too. Their weakness is sub zero temperatures, and prolonged immersion in water or repeated dowsing with water. They grow, on average, 40-50 feet long, and are usually 10 feet tall. Their scales are always a solid orange or red.

Retaw

These Whooma are unique in that they are legless, wingless serpents. They have gills, but are capable of traveling out of water as long as they stay moist. They spout massive, devastating jets of water from their mouth, and they serpentine nature makes them difficult to fight. Their weakness is losing their moisture and being out of water. They grow about 60-80 feet long, and are colored blue gray.

Gnintil

A unique and rare Whooma that harnesses the power of lightning. They spawn from eggs in lakes and rivers, and grow as serpents. They are always the top of their food chain, channeling electricity through their body to devastate fish. As they grow, however, they develop wings and legs and leaved the body of water. The grow wool, with they use to gather electricity, and fly high above the mountain in lighting storms. Their wings gather electricity from the air well flying. They are hard to find, but once discovered, are not hard to tame. They are a little smaller then most Whooma, growing on average 20-30 feet, and 6-7 feet tall. They are colored yellow.

Digirf

In the cold, arctic regions of Zed are these intense creatures. Highly hostile, they are among Zed's hardest to tame. They are large, can fly, but are als adept swimmers, capable of holding their breath for long periods of time, and breath freezing ice breath. They grow at similar sizes to the Lamron, and are always colored pure white with blue eyes. Highly intelligent, they can speak in the native Zed language and have the longest life span of all Whooma.

Roirraw

Wingless, fierce creatures that are easy to tame, the stand on two legs, with large clawed arms used as manipulators and for fighting. They are tall, but not as intelligent as most Whooma, but spectacular fighters. They have a ferocious bit, a mean tail for clubbing, and vicious clawed hands. They stand  12 feet tall. Colored faint yellows, oranges, and browns.

Monev

Inhabiting the swamps and other murky, dark places of Zed, these dragons are the smallest of the whooma. They are bipedal, with small arms and wings that enable them to fly small distances.  The have horns and spike covering their body, if poked with any of them, a poison is emitted with lethal results. These Whooma can spit corrosive acid and poison that immediately absorbs through bare skin to infect the unfortunate soul who got in it's way. 6 feet tall, 8 feet including wings. Colored very dark purples and black, with spots.

Trid

Wingless, quadrupedal, these Whooma are strong and burrow through the ground, popping up to snatch unwary creatures on the surface. Hard to find and tame, but easy to train, these creatures are usually found in the desert. Very good sense of hearing allows them to detect creatures through fifty feet of dirt. 25-30 feet long, 5-7 feet tall. Always sand colored.

Draziw

The rarest and most unique Whooma, these creatures are bipedal with wings only capable of gliding. They are the most intelligent Whooma, capable of speaking in Zed language with a large vocabulary and using magic. They stand 8-10 feet tall, and their color greatly varies.

Leets

Hiding deep in the ground, these are remnants of an ancient war among the Whooma, and have been in hibernation for centuries. There scales are almost impenetrable, and are the hardest of all Whooma scales. Quadrupedal, with large strong wings. 50 feet long, 10 feet tall, chrome scales.

* Nisorin smashes his head against his desk.

Misread it, sorry. Serpencullis and Whooma approved.

EDIT:

Sierrensa Norionseir: Some of the most skilled of the Sierrensa order become Norionseir. Foreign groups have nick-named them Reivers. The first few Norionseir were veterans who'd lost everything in the Nyx war. Their homes, families, friends. Now they are some of the most skilled warriors on the battlefield, treading the hair-thin line between life and death. Their concentration allows them to focus entirely on the battle, dodging attacks by centimeters, sometimes less, while striking almost constantly and even shrugging off lesser wounds entirely. They most often use a weapon in either hand, sometimes polearms or claymores. Their heavy armor provides the best protection available, while their quite advanced Sierrensa talents allow them to move and strike with surprising speed and precision.

They often live and eat separately from the rest of the Relorian military. Many of them can be considered, odd. Some have extreme fascinations with death, and use their combat opportunities to study it, while others court with death, as if dancing with a friend. And of the surviving original Norionseir, there remains grieving, pained men and women seeking death through combat.

The Klaysangeelii

These people look basically human, with one exception: Their color. Their skin is a light shade of blue with a somewhat dark tint (somewhat like the classic bright blue MS paint color). The hair is pretty much the same tint, but a darker shade. The other big thing that separates them from humanity is the fact that they are a kind of Anaerobic organism. To put it simply, they do not breath. This makes them very popular amongst jobs that require being in space.
They come from a small atmospheric moon called Plaukhanai (I will say more about it's location when I figure out more about whats where in this RP). The moon is nearly completely jungle, but the tree's are bigger than any other in the universe. many of them you can see and individualize from space. The trees do not break apart from the shear weight because they have naturally occurring elements in them that strengthen them. They are nearly imposable to cut down. The Klaysangeelii sometimes live in houses carved out of the trees, but those are commonly too expensive for the ordinary ones. Many of them live in metal tree houses in the branches. Many still live in rooms carved out of the vines, but there are times when that doesn't work out well (for reasons you will find out if you read on).
If they reproduce with a human, the child is basically like a mule. If scientists wanted to, they may be able to clone one who wasn't sterile. A magic user could probably also turn one fertile if they were powerful enough.
In space they still have to a special suit to avoid radiation poisoning and rapid temperature change, but it can be cheaper, easier to work with, and more efficient. They have amazing homeostasis that allows them to be inspace for a few minutes before freezing. They can survive out in space with nothing, but they will be at risk.
They usually eat fruits and vegetables. Sometimes they eat meat, but its not as good for them. There is a nutrient in the giant vines that they need to survive, but it can be found in other places (on other planets).
They were a peaceful race, living alone from the rest of the universe. Other races started to land on the moon out of curiosity, and the planet's never been the same. They started trading with other race, and immigrating with them.

Nik... You can't survive in space without anything. Even if they don't breath they would die. Why? Because the extreme cold would instantly make them a popsicle.

These are a race of giants. They look exactly human except for their enormous size. The tallest being around 14 ft tall. They also have a wider variety of colors in their biology. Red, green, blue, yellow, orange and all the other colors of the rainbow are included in their eye and/or hair colors. They also live to be nearly 200 years old.
Their appearance is tied to their magical affinity. If they are best at light magic, then they are more likely to have lighter hair and eye colors and vice versa.
They live on the planet Teffilin, under the cover of secret magical tunnels that lead to where they live in the core. They fled the alien invaders that came nearly 100 years ago and fled down deep in the earth.

They live in a peaceful society of magic users. They have almost no war or crime. They make whatever they want or need. But they still want to live upon the surface of their world.

Name: Hajekians (Hi-yek-eons)

The Hajekians are the Embodiment's body guards, created to do their bidding or to help the embodiment with various tasks. They aren't bonded to the Embodiment forever, since the embodiment can choose to either let them go or keep them with them at all times.
Besides, they are responsible for the Hajek's existence. Of course they'll do whatever they're commanded; the embodiment that made them is like their mother/father.

Hajeks are a form of Humans. They are shorter, their eyes always glowing a blazing orange. Their hair would often change color along with their mood, orange being when they were most angry, and green when they were mellow or normal. They possessed vasts amounts of energy, capable of powering an entire world for three days straight if stockpiled and used correctly. Lastly, their skin was always darker, but not tanned. More like gray.

Passive skills any Hajek inhabits;

Killing intent: Ability to release a certain aura that will often freeze the hearts of the weak willed with fear and utter hopelessness.

Critical Eye: Hajek eyes are capable of a X-ray sort-of ability, allowing them to peer within the bodies of living things' energy and witness their energy flow and aura and how it is managed. By witnessing this, they can tell things from how you're feeling to knowing if you're about to release some giant energy attack.

Immortality: Hajeks cannot age, cannot gain sickness or disease. If they die, they are reincarnated on the spot. However, for the next twenty minutes after they reincarnate, they are considered mortal and will die and stay dead. They do not go to the afterlife because the certain aspect that makes this happen is (listed below the passive traits)

Demonic: When emotions reach a breaking point, Hajeks will lose all grip on who they are as people and gain immense power, but at the cost of their sanity and immortality.

Hajekian Energy conversion: Hajekians can command many energies that reside in the air and take them within themselves and convert them to more powerful energy. They can also stockpile these energies to super condensed forms within their body for various purposes. A condensed form of energy can power a planet for three days straight.

Nocturnal: Hajekian powers are considerably powered up during the nighttime for unknown reasons.

Hyper Regenerative being: Any wounds inflicted on a Hajek is healed within seconds automatically, no energy involved.

Hajekians have no spirits; they were created by Embodiments, so their so called 'spirit' is artificial. They cannot use it for attacks, they cannot go to the afterlife, and they cannot exist after death. Once they die completely, it is FINAL.

A wound left on a Hajek can cause energy leakage, causing major interference to other energy attacks or technology in general. Wounding one on purpose is definitely not recommended whenever near anything that stores data.

Eating is never a requirement. However, going a few days without eating can serious inhibit a Hajek's fighting ability.

As much as I'd like to approve it, they can't exist before time, as it breaks the back story.
