Passing Time

Asura observed the attack with little interest. "That must hurt," she commented. "To lose your life over toys? Really."

Hikaru rolled her eyes at Asura's comment, then glared at Gaserlake. "Are you going to do that every damn time I try to destroy the piece of junk?!" She raised her hand and levitated the remaining pieces, then swept her hand to the side in a slashing motion, the pieces flying into the wall. However, Hikaru didn't bother shooting another beam this time.  "Whatever then, what the hell is taking Lucifer so long?!"

"Hmm, perhaps your opponent hasn't showed up yet?" Asura suggested. "I'll check on that!" She held her hands up, and a book materialized, but it held no title, instead it had  two dates printed on it. Opening the book, Asura flipped through it and read through the things inside it to herself, whistling as she did so. "Aha!" Asura shouted. "It says here K2323 was supposed to be your opponent, but because he went off to help Destruction, C2323 is his substitute. But he isn't here yet." Asura slammed the book and it disappeared. "That explains things."

Hikaru just looked at her. "What is that?"

"Eh, heh." Asura held her hands behind her back and seemed to struggle to find the answer. "Nothing of importance, just you know.. a date book, perhaps..... from The Records of Time..."

[Gaserlake]

The hole was quickly healed up. The Elite Energy has started to adapt to the Revelation beam. "I'll give it back to you after I'm done with it." Gaserlake calmly said. He turned to Asura. "Oooo. Wow. Looks like you've got a handy dandy history book," he sneered.

Suddenly, it was as if the entire arena was being hit with an earthquake. A rip in the sky above the arena had appeared, the inside being pure darkness. Shooting out of the dark rip at unbelievable speeds came the android form of C2323, expressionless, head-first. A few seconds later, he crashed right into the arena of hell, creating a large crater in the floor....

As the smoke cleared from the crash, the android emerged from his depression into the ground. He glanced around at those in the stands before announcing, "If my opponent does not arrive on the floor right now, I will destroy everyone in this audience."

The crowd went wild.

Without a word, Asura swiped the first book of the stack on the bench and promptly threw it at Gaserlake's head, using her control of time to subtract time in between her throw and it hitting, thus making it an instant hit. "History book? Is that what you call it? I'll let you know Aralang Boy, that you may be the oldest in this dimension, but even then you're still an infant compared to Time. Where that 'history book,' comes from, would make your races documents look like a box of outdated papers."

Barely phased by the earthquake or announcement, Hikaru looked to the screens showing the arena, and thus C2323 as well. "I guess now starts the match." Sighing, Hikaru looked over at Asura, "Please stick around till after it, I have something to converse with you about." Hesitantly, Hikaru glanced at Gaserlake, before looking back at Asura. "Concerning a certain spell amongst a few other things, if you will."

"Sure thing!" Asura chimed. She pointed her thumb at Gaserlake, "However if he's gone by the time you return, Assume he's dinosaur chow by then."

Gaserlake was knocked backwards, the damage healed up. He grinned. "Yeah. I just called it a bloody history book." He then laughed. "It makes perfect sense, too." He turned to Hikaru. "Good luck, Hikaru. With this crazy woman over here, I might not see the end of the bloody match."

Asura gave a sour look, "Would you like to be a toddler?"

Having ignored Gaserlake's comment, Hikaru had started to walk out of the room when she came to a dead stop, and quickly spun around. "Wait! You can do that?"

"Well I can turn his timeline back." Asura grinned, "Thus causing his personal time to reverse, reverting him to a child in this fixed time."

"Is it absolute?!"

Asura tilted her head a bit. "What do you mean? He'd be a child, yes."

Hikaru walked foward, forgetting all about the match, as she looked at Asura. "I mean, memories cannot be forgotten. If you were to turn the timeline of someone back, would they be a child in mind as well?"

"Oh I see where you're going." Asura nodded. "Because it is their personal time and not the fixed that is turning back, they would be a child physically and mentally. But!" Asura held up her index finger, "Because they are still part of fixed time, or as I like to call it, the Omni-timeline, the former memories and life of being an adult would still be there. So in reactions and such, the would be a child, but not in thoughts. However, childhood mentality would overpower thoughts."

"Damn!" Hikaru swore,  "So damn close..."

[Gaserlake]

"A toddler, huh?" Gaserlake smiled. "Well, at least it would humiliate you more. Tsh. Imagine. A toddler kicking the Embodiment of Time's ass. That would be pretty damn sad." He looked at Hikaru. "What? Trying to change your kids back?"

Asura turned to Hikaru. "Can I kill him?

"I wish," Hikaru rolled her eyes. "But it'd probably be best not to, I don't want the damn repercussions to fall on me." Hikaru then glanced to Gaserlake. "And if I was? What? Going to tell me that's against some rule of yours as well? Well fuck you."

Looking back and forth between Gaserlake and Hikaru, Asura looked a bit confused. "What happened to your kids?"

"They were brainwashed." Hikaru pointed at Gaserlake, "By his fucking lackeys. But that's not even the worst part! Their childhoods were also taken, they didn't get to experience being kids, forced thrown into the adult world and to follow a path they didn't even get to choose. They can choose now..." Hikaru sighed, "But it doesn't get back their childhood, or the things they lost!"

Asura bit her lip and looked to the ground, her hands behind her back, "Well... even if I could turn them back, they'd still have their memories."

"As I feared..." Hikaru lowered her head and sighed again, then in almost and instant snapped it back up. "Wait! Could it be done in such a way to repress memories? Not change what happened, or change them back, but to turn their timelines back, and then repress or lock the memories in such a way that they would only return when they're truly ready for them, either the aging back to what they are now, or early if they so choose?"

Asura didn't answer. Instead she shifted her weight to lean on her staff, continuing to look at the floor.

"So it's not possible?"

"It is..." Asura looked up towards the other wall as she spoke. "But at the same time it isn't..."

[Gaserlake]

Gaserlake shrugged. "If you can kill me, feel free to do so. I'm probably gonna stay in bloody Hell, anyway. And no, it's not. In fact, I would let you do it if you could. And for crying out loud, they aren't my guys." He turned to Asura. "What? Something keeping you from doing it?"

[Queen Bright]

"There's a difference between being in Hell alive, and being in hell as Lucifer's bitch." Hikaru informed, "And they sure as hell seem to listen to you. So no matter what you claim, they're still your damn lapdogs!"

"Well...I don't exactly know." Asura looked at Hikaru, "I might and I might not. If they're your kids, then I most likely cannot do anything to their timeline, or even read it."

"Why does being my children make any difference?"

"Umm..." Asura looked between Hikaru and Gaserlake. "It's hard to explain, and would most likely be easier to show. You'll have to come with me to see."

"But... the match."

"It'll only take one second!" Asura winked and grinned. "Literally. Oh, and bring the simpleton with you. I'll show him history book."

[Gaserlake]

"They listen to me for a good damn reason. I fucking created the Aralang Special Forces. They respect me, too." He looked at Asura and sneered. "Yes. Please show me the history book."

[Queen Bright]

"Which makes them your lapdogs." Hikaru turned back to Asura, "Not that I like the fact he's coming, but fine. If it will tell me how to help my kids, anything."

"Then away we go!" Asura tapped her staff to the ground and a silver bubble formed around the three, teleporting them away.
