The only reason we'd be bad influences now, is because of what she herself has caused.

Getting mad is the appropriate response, yes. But allowing your anger to choose your actions for you will only lead to everything falling about our heads. Focus your anger and vent it in a productive way. Angrily lashing out at someone is not going to do anyone any good, most of all yourself.

They will require the so-called victim to appear in court in order to get the restraining order. He will need to speak, of his own accord, against Hikaru and confirm his mother's statements. Gaserlake won't do that of his own free will. Even more so if it means going back to his mother's house without the reprieve Shattered Planes offers him.

I did my research on restraining orders in California.

She has 3 options of type to file. HOWEVER, all of them, the 'victim,' has to know a person. Like a neighbor, an associate, a co-worker. You have to personally know the person and live near them to file the restraining order. California does not do stranger and/or distances ROs.

So I guess she was all talk on that one.

Well that's a relief. However, we can't just get angry with her and voice it to her. We aren't trying to garner her respect so much as not prove her point. If we call her or email her and tell her to fuck off we're just playing into her trap.

And of course she blames me the most. I'm the 'scapegoat,' so to speak. As K2 put it, she can't conceive the idea she caused her child to want to commit suicide, so she looks to blame his friends for it. Mainly me, as I'm the one that called right after to see if he was still alive.  And probably for the fact that out of everyone he could have called from the hospital (family) I'm the one he called. He even said he didn't want to talk to his mother when I asked.

Did I mention he said that phone call was the happiest thing he's had all day, the very first day he called?
She blames me because she needs someone else to blame rather than herself.

Two last updates...

1. He called me last night. But I think he snuck the call. I didn't have the phone near me so I didn't catch it till 20 minutes later. But there was a voicemail. However the voicemail had no talking, was a few seconds long, and there was like one tap on it, and that's it. More of a sign than anything.

2. Lyoko found out he's been discharged.

...We don't know if he's at his uncles or his mothers at this point or if he can contact. So the wait continues, but at least we know he's out of Hell. Now to do everything in our power to find a way to contact him.  :-\

He apparently has the comp just no ethernet cord. They're watching all phones and he doesn't have his cell. So what can we do?
