"This is going fairly well, it looks like."
Yeah, but there's still a few people out in the back who need a bit of convincing.
Mezzo grinned a little as he played another song, this one a good bit more fast-paced. Winds began to pick up, moving throughout the crowd, the flowers flying wild on them. They never left the plaza, as though warded to stay there, but still, they went fast. All of a sudden, the song stopped, as the flowers closed up, and then Mezzo began playing again, at a much lessened tempo. Slowly, the flowers opened back up again, revealing soft embers contained in their center, floating candles providing soft illumination, as day turned to dusk. The song itself was first about the wonders of the morning as one met with their friends, went about to play, then turning about the glory of watching the sun set by the shores of a sea, slowly falling out of view while next to the person you'd loved, the song a fast-forward of human/whatever life, always in the fast lane at the start of one's lives, then later on mellowing into a much softer existence as they settled down with those they loved.
It was, truly, a beautiful work of music...Ah, how he wished he could've shared it with the other Mages. He really wondered how they all were, to tell the truth. He'd have to find some of them later, invite them for coffee or something else professionals did together.
