Rocker's Day Off
« on: June 05, 2011, 03:35:08 AM »
Mezzo was walking down a fairly deserted highroad, though there were still several people walking around. He didn't think he had too many fans in the Zarethian Empire yet, but just in case, he wore a set of shades, a different jacket than normal-blue, as opposed to his purple to match Melodia, and black pants. Even so, though, He was carrying around a very, very ornate guitar on his back.
"Do you think this'll work, Mezzo?
"No clue, Melodia. But, I dont wanna be cooped up in my house all day, so I've gotta go out every now and again." He responded, yawning a little bit.
"Price of fame, I suppose." she said, laughing in his mind a little. It was a nice laugh, very gentle.
"Depends on how ya look at it. I like my fans, and the looks I see in the crowds, Thats enough for me."

Coincidentally, he had a fair fanbase in the Zarethian Empire. Some say the Mages should never have broken up but others thought he did fine without the others. A few people started talking about the ornate guitar. One thought it was disturbingly similar to the one Mezzo Forte used.

"Eh heh..." He said softly to Melodia, overhearing that comment,"Looks like the jig might be up..."
"Not necessarily, my friend. Just keep your head on straight. Keep to the plan, and all will work out."
He nodded, and made for the center of a nearby plaza. There was a upraised area there, a curb with a few trees and some grass within it, where you'd be seen all around if you were to stand there. He sat on the curb, and pretended to tune Melodia, waiting for the crowds to thicken a bit, see how large the crowd could get before he began. He adjusted his shades. "Yeah...This'll definately work out just fine..."

Musicians stopping at the street corner was an uncommon enough occurrence. This one had a shiny guitar. That definitely helped his chances. Soon ten people were waiting for him, with twenty some others looking at him while doing stuff.

"Alright...Looks busy enough."
"Yep. Lets begin." He said quietly, before climbing up the curb. He looked around, a good 30 people there, some already noticing him as well. He cleared his throat, and called out to eveyone around,"People, people, may I have your attention please?"
Once he was sufficently pleased that there were enough people watching, he took off his shades...And instant, he changed. His jeans, jacket, it all turned purple to match his guitar, Black jeans changing to violet starting from the feet as the Blue shirt turned lavender from the neck down. He twirled Melodia by the end before gripping her base, and opening his eyes-with his irises completely prismatic as his and Melodia's spirits both went completely in tune.
He then paused for a second, to see the reaction of his audience.

Several particularly young Zarethians outright reacted fangirlishly, letting out screams and getting into the front of the others eagerly. Plenty of other let out mutters of recognition and approval at the display. Some of the older Zarethians gave him a disdainful look as if any amount of fun was heresy and should be treated as such.

He mentally shrugged at those people giving him hard looks. "Some people need to learn life's a precious commodity. You live while you can, 'cause there's not much to the other side." Melodia said in his mind, to which he mentally replied, Then lets teach it to 'em, eh?

He strummed a few notes off the guitar, before launching into a full out song, a upbeat melody he mostly made up on the spot. As he played, a petal drifted towards the crowd from the guitar, carried along by an unfelt wind, flying throughout the crowd for the duration of the song. When he finished, the petal flew behind him and landed on the ground. He bowed to his audience...As the grassy plaza burst into flowers of all kinds, plants just coming to life where previously there was nothing. As he rose, the blossoms flew off, adorning the air with flying flowers everywhere, slowly drifting back to the ground.

The crowd, the ones that arent perpetually frowning at any slight hint of fun, were going along with it. They werent cheering yet, except for the semi rabid fangirls, anyway.

"This is going fairly well, it looks like."
Yeah, but there's still a few people out in the back who need a bit of convincing.

Mezzo grinned a little as he played another song, this one a good bit more fast-paced. Winds began to pick up, moving throughout the crowd, the flowers flying wild on them. They never left the plaza, as though warded to stay there, but still, they went fast. All of a sudden, the song stopped, as the flowers closed up, and then Mezzo began playing again, at a much lessened tempo. Slowly, the flowers opened back up again, revealing soft embers contained in their center, floating candles providing soft illumination, as day turned to dusk. The song itself was first about the wonders of the morning as one met with their friends, went about to play, then turning about the glory of watching the sun set by the shores of a sea, slowly falling out of view while next to the person you'd loved, the song a fast-forward of human/whatever life, always in the fast lane at the start of one's lives, then later on mellowing into a much softer existence as they settled down with those they loved.
It was, truly, a beautiful work of music...Ah, how he wished he could've shared it with the other Mages. He really wondered how they all were, to tell the truth. He'd have to find some of them later, invite them for coffee or something else professionals did together.

The crowd stirred, listening to the music and watching the beautiful leaves carried about by a mysterious wind. They cheered him on,except for the grumpy gusses that was.

--- somewhere: galaxy far, far away---

Aldo Adigo felt a disturbance in his groove sense. Almost as if someone was thinking about him. He shrugged and continued to play.

Alright, alright, looks like they're warming up to us... He thought to Melodia, So not for the
Coup
De

"Grace."

He then proceeded to play his last song...One that told a romance, of two lovers whom had met each other in a fairly mundane location, who knew at their first sight, that was the one. But also of whom were seperated, because they both moved away because of their parents...But still, they kept in contact, staying true to each other, never moving on...And eventually, when they were old enough, they both met again at that place, where they'd first met each other. They were different, older, yes...Yet they were the same, their love everlasting.
Obviously it was somewhat a slow song, but a grand one. All the while, the flower-candles were drifting down, no longer held up but not taken enough by gravity to simply flop on the ground. Once he finished the song, he bowed, then droped down to the crowd, strapping Melodia to his back.

The crowd roared at the fine, fine tune. They threw flowers from the ground and one guy was so hyped that he accidentally threw a rock instead of a flower.
