Shocked and speechless, Hikaru could not even begin to fathom what had just happened. Kissing, it was something she had only seen, but not experienced. Something her parents, and the many couples of the universe did. Hell, she had even sent Emily to such a thing as a way to kill her brother. But that was seduction, with the intent of wrong. This? This was the real cause, the true intentions of such an action, and in the middle of worrying for Koty, he had pulled her into it, just like that. Quick, and silent, before she could react. But it wasn't just shock that filled her, there was reassurance as well. She still worried for him, and would want to someday find the spell that would help him. But for now, her worries would have to be contained.
Hikaru could see that her own worries for him, would only lead him to worry that she was. If they were to do this ritual, then the two of them would have to trust one another completely; that meant knowing when to believe the other, when they claimed nothing was wrong. Taking this to heart, Hikaru couldn't help but give a slight half smile at Koty's proclamation to protect her. He seemed livelier now, she could see it in his eyes, and at this, she was relieved.
Now standing within the blue grass prarie of Magimeta, the two still hand in hand. Hikaru waited for Celestie to join them. She was now fully prepared for the ritual, in eagerness, in mind, and in emotions. And this land, in all its beauty and wonder, and the feeling of pure magic in the air; could not have been a more perfect place for the start of the path they were to embark upon.
"I'm ready if you are," Hikaru whispered to Koty. The land had lifted her spirit, and standing there with him in the midst of it all, she felt calmness in mind, even in the threats of yet to come. Whatever lay ahead, even if it meant death in hell, it could not disturb the peace with herself, and with Koty, that Hikaru now felt.
