...Everyone post WW2? Liked Jews? No. Thats a lie. Most people felt sympathy for them, theres a difference between that and liking. Similarly, making any sort of racist joke is viewed as a bad thing. Making fun of blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, etc.

Not entirely true, but I don't want to get into that.

But anyway, Zak is right, antisemitism was still rampant after WWII. People felt sympathetic publicly, but many wouldn't lift a finger to help, and many would still make racist gossip about them.

A little joking sure, however there is a line, and actually feeling antisemitism is another matter entirely, and promoting such is to me, monstrous. Because thanks to the weight of history itself we know exactly what the result of such views is. The result of that kind of hate is.

Hell when I said space jews, I was referring to that kind of old world mercantilism and sensibility with a good hearted smile that is normally the stereotype of jews.

You must be living in a different part of the country because I've never, ever heard of that stereotype. The general stereotype for Jews for the East Coast is a good business man but shrewd, is almost scroogelike in demeanor and often uses Yiddish words.

Anti-Semitism is no different from any other type of racial hate. If you hate Blacks, its the same as if you hate Jews, or Asians or Native Americans. The only difference is the target. I'm not promoting any sort of hate, but many jokes are made good heartedly with no real malice behind them. I personally hate intolerance and ignorance that pervades not only in the South, but the rest of America at times.

Meh, I grew up in a mostly Latino area, and the only insolence I see is for gringos. When ever I read about the intolerance of the 50's and 60's and Martin Luther King's speeches I think upon on how a good deal of my peers in this community have treated my due to being a gringo, and hell even the teachers gave me shit for it, so meh. Anytime I brought it up, I was accused of racism, eventually I just stopped giving a damn about it.

Yet at the same time, I love a good amount of Mexican culture in terms of how much they value family, and even over here how much pride they feel for their nation. I just never understood how such wonderful values and some of their people couldn't pull together to fight to make their own country better. I've always liked the vision of both America and Mexico as prosperous nation instead of one or the other...

But as far as the Jew stereotypes go, mien comes from the little bit I learned from a friend I haven't seen in years, Dorian. An Iberian Jew.

Hell, maybe its because I didn't live in that era. However, I do have a slight solution to it all.

The Cartels work as business, if you take that away they do not really have power. I understand there are some moral implication of this, but those who want drugs are going to get them regardless of you ban them or not. The whole concept of banning them is a waste of government money and the people who want them will get them anyway. Just legalize all of it, with heavy warnings like cigarettes and earmark a large amount of the taxes of the sales of Narcotics addicts anonymous and other such organization meant to get people clean and for their medical care.

The people who will do them regardless of what we do are taken care of, no more government money is wasted on fighting narcotics business, aaaand we now have the source of income needed to pay their medical bills.

Oh, and like the mafia, the cartels fail into the hellhole.

Again, those who want them are going to get them. Be brutally honest about their effects, if they still want them, then whatever, kinds like how cigarettes can't really advertise, have to give ridiculous warning about their effects.

Also, it takes the money out of the hands of dangerous criminals and puts it into government coffers.

You can't change human nature, so you may as well just regulate it instead.

Strange, because I've always viewed politics with a bit of pragmatism. What actually brings in results, I don't really care about what makes people happy, or what deals with sensibilities. I know there are realities and sensible ways to deal with those realities that one the whole better those who chose to be bettered.
