To give an idea of what kind of technology the magnet renaissance provides, the first RP post ought to give some idea how transportation works. Basically, just take what anything that was invented that involves magnets, and pump it with steroids. Normally, magnetic bikes require some electricity to make them work, same with magnet trains. In fact, a lot of technology with magnets usually involves electricity in some shape or form. For the purposes of this RP, and to keep the suspension of disbelief intact, think of this magnet world like what you would assume a steampunk world to be like. In steampunk, everything runs off steam. In this, magnets.

If you have an idea for a piece of magnetic technology, but if you're wondering if it's too advanced, feel free to ask about it here before applying it to the RP.

And yes, I did magnets because steampunk was too mainstream.[/hipster]

Personality: A leader, or at least he used to be, Jecht comes off as a blunt man that takes no bullshit from anyone he meets. Fights are common with him, but when he's overpowered, he knows when to back down and let things happen themselves. He's not stupid like the gang he used to command. You can't tell when he's happy, unless he purposefully shows it, in which case it involves a self-entitled smirk that seems to belong to stuck up pricks, but even he knows that good things don't last forever.
Oh, and he's bad with names.
Inventory (Weapons, Equipment, Etc): Gaussian Rifle, Dagger, Strong magnet (Good for disrupting machinery.), a map to a location he refuses to disclose nor give any context as to why he carries it.
Brief History: Besides being leader of a gang that no longer exists? Jecht has a lot behind him, a time he would rather not visit again. Much like many raiders, he was forcefully taken from his home and raised by the criminals all around him as a child. And from then on, one could say that the rest is history.
But the rabbit hole delves deeper than just that.
Jecht comes from the Falz Capital, or what remains of it after the atrocities that Terram and Renatus unleashed on the nation. Now, the capital is a broken, dead city, filled with beggars and bottom feeders all over the place. The once mighty government and nation of Falz, now reduced to but a shell of it's former self. No raider dare go near it, for each of them know that there lays nothing for them to take but the souls of what may as well be called it's inhabitants. Rather, if they ever had a reason to go near it, it were the desperate ones, needing an extra hand or five, having gotten all of their previous men killed.
He had seen what the two nations have left in their wake with no remorse, and silently, a vow was made as a child. He would see the day that Falz was restored. But as he grew older, that dream crumbled and blew away into the dust, just as everything else does in Falz. Jecht's time is spent raiding, living each day as if it were his last... but his soul hasn't forgotten that vow he made that day.
And he feels the map he carries is perhaps a key to it all.

Appearance:
Personality: Arrikus is a quick witted and humorous individual who loves a good joke and a shot of alcohol which he usually carries around with him. He is heavily interested in geology and alchemy and has tried, and failed, to turn lead into gold but he is enthusiastic and determined to finish his book as well as make friends on the way but he holds a troubled past and will sulk off or snap at anyone who ask him about his family because of what he done but other than that he is and incredibly happy individual.
Inventory (Weapons, Equipment, Etc): A Reynbow, a crossbow with two magnets on either side that reverse polarity when the trigger is pulled, firing out a quarrel at ridiculous speeds, is loaded by simply dropping a quarrel in the barrel, several bottles of whiskey, rum and wine and a medical kit. Also has half plate armour.
Brief History: Arrikus discovered his book at a young age, 18, and opened it almost as soon as he had found it in the middle of a field and he immediately regretted it as he suddenly felt extremely energised but he had a terrible, terrible feeling of dread and he spun around, clutching the book before trying to run home, unknowing that the grass and trees behind him were wilting and shriveling up, feeding their life into him. He ran into his home and grabbed his mother trying to explain what he had felt and found but he then got that feeling of energy again and he found he couldn't stop holding his mother as he drained her of her life force and he almost cried until his father came down to find a crying Arrikus and a withered husk of a woman and he attacked Arrikus but just before he did Arrikus raised his hand and fired a large bolt of energy which tore his father's legs off and Arrikus found himself drawn to the blood before he grabbed his father and drained him of life, realising what he did, Arrikus ran for his life with his book lest anyone find out what he did.

-3/5 = High control of energy, able to make large energy explosions, beams, lances and bullets as well as long pathways and shielding big enough to defend a large group.

-4/5 and onwards = Absolute control of energy, able to create massive beams of energy, swarms of bullets, gigantic explosions in addition to shields big enough to defend a small army and very long pathways.

Your character is fine, but as for the book, I'm kind of at odds with the power. The weapon creating ability is very, very similar to the book of Soldiers, with the only difference being is they're made out of energy. I'd say the energy ability is actually pretty powerful enough as it is, considering all the things you could do with it.

He's a little over equipped though in my opinion, though. xD

It kinda is, especially since it's practically getting two abilities for the price of one curse. But other than that, a lot of the other books will grow to god-like proportions, so it's perhaps only fair this one does.

Though, the size of a country/oceans and being able to create animals is probably taking it too far. There are currently three (Or two-and-a-half. lolol) major countries, and since some books grow to have amazing power, this means that the planet of Urr is very large to accommodate the chaos that will eventually ensue. With these sizes, I'd say that's waaay more bigger than the final part of the book needs to be.
And while, yes, there are dragons in this world, they are very rare and sentient creatures, spanning ages into the thousands. Being able to create such a creature out of energy is quite overpowering, since they themselves have a rather large amount of power themselves. I'll stand by what I said before: The energy aspect of this book is indeed all one really needs, and it can support a wide variety of uses.
