Races
« on: December 11, 2009, 08:14:54 PM »
These are the universal races. Feel free to make up another one in your character template. If you want to add it to this list, please PM me or another admin.

Merricois
(Please PM Oddoneout for use.)
A race of intellect and iron will. They have green pigment in skin and have small scales on their arm. Their origin is based off of human adaptations to their environment, and they have been indigenous to Jihad for quite some time now.

Imbellis
(Please PM UnStellar for use.)
A peaceful, magic race. Most of the population is part of the Pax Empire. They look human for the most part, but with a few differences. Such as pointed, kender-like ears, and almost shaped lilac eyes. The females, also have gossamer butterfly/fair-like wings. Their magic is something of confusion. Though they can learn the common spells of other races, through spell books. Their natural born magic is not of inner or outer energy, or even physical influence, but of their emotions. As other spell casters speak spells, or draw on energy, the people of this race use their emotions to draw their inner most-words, their thoughts, to have effects. Such as anger, would release attack, rage, releasing a more destructive attack. Their powers will affect, depending on their thoughts and feelings.
However because the Imbellis chose the path of peace, they removed the ability from themselves to become angry, through meditation and spellery. Therefore the art of thoughts to attack, has been lost.

Bellicus
(Please PM UnStellar for use.)
A destructive, magic race.

Aralang
(Please PM Gaserlake to request use.)
Tend to have high IQ. Humanoid figures. Aralangs tend to have no magical talent or ability whatsoever, but very skilled at retaining knowledge.

Emouvoir
(Please PM Zumi for use)
Emouvoirs are people who are in touch with their emotions and use this as a power to manipulate the heart and mind of their opponent. They are the common race among the planet of Duerme, ruled by Alaskarine. These people change colors according to their emotions.

Human
Does it even need explaining?

Tidean
(Please PM Hawk For Use)
Veritas Star, a racial Starclanner. After preforming multiple experiments on humans during the creation of his empire, this race emerged. Tideans are humanoid. They are talented in both magic and the force (yes, starwars). They are faster and stronger than ordinary humans.

Relorian
A magic-oriented race, they are slightly taller than the average human, and usually have lithe bodies. Their muscles very rarely build outwards like a human's will. Instead, they will get more and more dense, taking up the same amount of space, creating a bit more of a slimmer physique. Their magic is separated into three spheres, and only the sphere a Relorian is born with can be used by that Relorian. {-}
The Relorians are currently away from the Galactic Empires universe and cannot be requested.

Loreian
(Please PM Nisorin to request use.)
Lorei is a race of tall, winged bipedal people with a penchant for the arts, which shows in nearly everything they do. While most magic users utilize their skills through spells, Lorei magicians manipulate energy directly, without the need of 'fancy hand movements and gibberish words.' This enables them to use average level effects much quicker and easier, and lower level effects nearly instantly, but higher level effects require a good deal more time to use.

Sage
(Must get K2, Kai, or Hikaru's permission to use. If one agrees and another disagrees, must get the thirds permission.)
Sages are magic users. These sages are human in appearance, but biologically are pretty different. They are tolerable to most physical conditions (can breath under water, survive in space, etc..). Sages are users of magic. They have an organ inside their body called the soul which controls flow of magic. Sages are split up into categories/subraces. Each subrace is based on a type of mythical animal such as, Phoenix, Dragon, Unicorn, etc.
(Must get Hikaru's permission for Phoenix and Kai or K2s permission for Dragon.)

Serpencullis

From the dawn of time on the planet Zed, the Serpencullis were created simultaneously with the Whooma. There is a divine bond created between them. The Serpencullis can manipulate the thoughts of creatures by making contact with their skin, but they have to be of weaker will, strong willed people are impossible to manipulate, except by exceptionally strong Serpencullis. The Whooma are strong willed creatures, and in order to tame one you have to very convincing in your power. This bond between Serpencullis and Whooma has kept both races alive throughout the centuries, and the Serpencullis have developed traits similar to the Whooma native to their region.

As far as appearances, the Serpencullis are similar to humans. The skin is scaly, but tan. Some of them can have blue green scales, however. They do not have hair, but do develop horns instead.

Enforcer

(PM UnStellar to request use)

Anthropomorphic sages in dark blue robes, these animals walk, talk, and think like Karmagans. Servants to the Great Enforcer on Autumnavia, they are powerful magic users.

Revokers/Sorcerers

(PM UnStellar to request use)

Human looking, although their skin tones can be different, the Sorcerers are Witches rivals and loyally serve the Grand Revoker. Powerful magic users using dark magic and shadow manipulation.

Sirens

Beautiful women that grow feathers instead of hair, instead of on your heads, and have bird feet and piercing stares. They can shape shift into birds and have beautiful voices, so beautiful they can enchant men.

Karmagans

The majority of Autumnavians are Karmagans. They are human, all of them Asian in appearance (no Caucasians, blacks, or Spaniards,) with black-to mid-dark-brown hair. The difference is their eyes can be any color in the color spectrum. They are shorter than most humans, too.

The key difference is that not all of them have spirits. In fact, only a million do at any given time, even though a couple billion Karmagans exist. Spiritless Karmagans go through life a little less intelligent, and without quite as much personality. You can feel the difference if you're paying attention, between spiritless  Karmagans and ones will souls.

When Karmagans receive a spirit, they get an increased awareness, and the two personalities combine. The awareness ranges from being totally in tune with the memories of past lives so as to avoid mistakes made by the previous spirit owner, to a simple enlightening. People with spirits are more successful, as they have more experience in life, even if the vessel they inhabit doesn't.

Most Karmagans have little to no magic. 98% of Karmagans cannot use magic in any form, and mostly don't even know it exists. The other 1.5% are weak magic users, and .5% of all Karmagans are strong magic users. They have modern language, clothing, and fashion, but not much technology.

Witches

(PM UnStellar for use)

The Magic users of the world, Witches are a separate breed from Karmagans. They are usually Caucasian, but can be Asian or black. They all have magic ability, and are embodiments of Jeremiah's wishes, so they're very stereotypical, with cats, pumpkins, broom sticks and witch hats. They are generally neutral in the affairs of Yin and Yang, acting as neutral agents, but usually helping Yin, as their rival race is Sorcerers.

Just please make sure to include a detailed description of what the race is. Even with firmly established races there seems to be a large amount of, discontinuity, between uses of races such as vampire, werewolf, fairy, etc.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Zescuno
These are a race of people who have magic but not in the traditional sense of the word magic as they don’t use their power, but it is always active by suppressing the power of those around them they are able to easily overpower mages or sages that they come into combat against. They gained this ability when a special type of radiation struck their world and teleported them magically throughout the galaxy and destroyed their world. However they have one weakness, any remnant of their world will severely weaken them as it is charged with radiation of the opposite variety. Currently though they have no set world although  the ones born without the distinct ability have used their power to form a  pocket dimension to store the others in. They are light blue skinned humanoids with silver stripes running down their arms and they always wear racing helmet. They like to race a lot and have invented many vehicles for racing.

In addition they are normally pacifists except for the select few who remember the war of the Sages in which Gallaghar’s enemies attempted to have them executed to rid the universe of their unique ability to supress magic  by being near those who can utilize magic. The ones who remember quickly took steps to avoid incurring Gallaghar’s wrath by sending him a tribute of their finest metals and finest champions of the current day and age. By accepting this tribute Gallaghar is promising he will not attack the Norokians so long as they don’t become a threat to his reign.

All Magic creatures have reason to fear this race as their magic is suppressed merely by one of the race standing nearby.  Their ability to supress magic only lasts about an hour each a day but they can drain energy from others of their race to restore their power.
They lack training in magic though they have developed their own unique type of magic use,  though they call it Tsebin : The Ancient Art.  (I will be the only one allowed to have these for now) In addition to not having magic, they are cut off from the force completely as all force sensitives feared they could supress the force as well and so they fled from the Norokians when they asked to be trained in the force to nullify their disadvantage at only having level 3 magic in extreme cases and level 1 being the status of most of their people.

In order to enable them to fight back the people evolved and developed some sort of machine empathy allowing them to talk to machines and get them to do things for them. They are one of the few races besides the aralangs with this capability. They are also great at inventing things and have invented a special line of robots to serve as the ‘police’ of their planet. These robots are humanoid sort of like androids except with state of the art weapons systems installed in them.

Once the armed robots were created by this race, they were horrified at what they had created and began to get very much afraid of the Zorik and so they decided they must destroy all Zorik and erase all memory of technology from their minds.  By combining all their magic they were able to destroy all of the Zorik on their planet simultaneously leaving not a single one existing or so they thought. The Zescuno created Ord Slugs to power the Zorik and to pacify any mages or sages who landed on their world as they didn't wish for there to be a sage war. Currently they inhabit Pax along with the Bellis and the Imbellicus, though they have hidden their magical signature completely from all the residents of Pax at least for now as they donot wish to reveal themselves.

Zorik
These robots were engineered by the Zescunos who feared another war with the sages and so they decided to produce robotic defenders that could equally match anything sages or mages could pull off and perhaps even do far better than sages or mages.  They have had training in the use of their weapons which includes photon beams, rifles, grappling hooks, missiles and freeze rays in addition to many other unique weapons and varieties of defenses that the Zorik wield.  These robots are also immune to Electromagnetic Pulses due to the special plastics covering their entire bodies.  These were turned against by their creators and currently 1 still exists who is attempting to make new Zoriks in order to conquer the Zescunos and force them to build the old ones once more.  His are 10x more powerful than the ones built by the Norokians.  Now though the time has come for this Zorik known as The Shadow Knight to seek his fortune in the stars by becoming a technological monster for hire. He demands pay in the form of parts to build more of his ‘brothers’ which are robots to do the tasks of being his weapons which were destroyed by the spell the Zescunos cast. He however managed to build himself some weaker versions of their weapons to temporarily offset their spell and the damage that had been done to his body.  He hopes one day to re-establish his entire race into existence but that may not be a possibility thanks to the interference of the Legacy Empire and of the Anrufe.

I've updated the list with the following additions:

  • Adding of the Merricois.
  • Updating contact information for the Pax Races.
  • Removing contact requirement for Tidean Empire. If Hawkeye insists on asking people to ask him to use this race, he can PM me with the dispute.

"The Force"?! Heresy!
There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

Novierians need to be added.

Why? Because I'll be permitting limited use of them for other people. And by limited I mean by certain people.
I'm looking at you Hawkeye and Cap. Don't even bother trying to play as a Novierian.

Same with the Heliphlien. I don't mind others using them, but I'd at least like people doing the courtesy of asking.
