The draining shields was to give them an edge. So people like the DAIS couldn't spam the Over SHields to block everything and the Kitchen Sink. The being able to drain shields was in fact my answer to that problem.
Tyranid Hive Ship
The Tyranid Hive Ship contains many pods that double as fighters for the ship and are armed with organic equivalents to lasers and machine gun type attacks. The Hive Ships are also made to have more armoring than normal ones. A page has been taken from nature in order to provide the level of protection that the Hive Ships have. Crab like and armadillo like armor covers the entirety of the ship and a page from the Octopus and Jelly Fish of Memorial has also been used.
This also contains atmosphere and gravity and other stuff made out of natural resources as opposed to technological ones. This ship is colored green and purple. It is one of the experimental ships that does not use the armoring of the Aralang Ships, but only has one piece of tech. The piece of tech on board is the communications equipment obviously for some reasons.

It is a somewhat inexpensive model but is also useful because of having FTL methods similar to technology but done by utilizing organic methods. These ships are usually bonded with a Single Narrikian Captain who treats them properly as these ships are not sentient, but have the mindset of a dog for example.
Tsavik Class Ships:
Yet another of the Organic Ships this one is different from the other ones. It can shoot out special balls of energy that are highly explosive due to modifications. These ships are armored with armadillo and crab armor but have a mindset like that of a Dog or a Coyote. These ships also have crystal launchers that can shoot out crystal ammunition that is barbed so it does more damage going out than coming in. The Tsvaik Class Ships are not one you wish to have as part of any enemy fleet and are quite formidable for the Narrikians. Usually 5 pilots are trained from a very early age and bonded with the ship. The pilots are indoctrinated and given a sort of bond or connection with these ships that allows them to control them with their thoughts, like an extension of their body. The ship also has a bladed crystal spike that can be used to ram an enemy ship. These cost 100,000 credits per ship made. They also use the same kind of fighters.
Pod Ships:
Pod Ships are the answer of the Organic Technology to the problem of not having Fighters. They can shoot out crystals, blasts of lasers or even unleash pods that stick to a ship and cause the electricity and/or other power source to be siphoned into the pods that are shot onto them which then explode doing high damage to the ships. The armoring of these is light and they lack FTL. They are generally unable to be piloted by organics and that is why they have a bond with the ship they are spawned from. Up to 30 of these can be spawned per post to attack enemy vessels. The Pod Ships are a useful weapon against most enemies.
