Hiro, fyi, the word you're looking for is crouch-jumping, where you jump, then crouch. I dunno if I made the term up or not, but there's also jump-crouching, where you crouch, then jump, not the other way around.

Yeah, it is. Every FPS gamer will tell you it's real in a various amount of games. It won't be in some, of course but still.
Every time I play a FPS game with someone I don't know, or online, 9/10 times I will be asked "You know how to crouch jump, right?" It's their way of distinguishing their own from all the other humans in the human race.

And Gaser, I know it should be the other way around, but crouch jump sounds better. 8{D

I, a 10-year FPS veteran and an athlete, can safely say that it's very possible to crouch-jump IRL. I just did it now. Athletes can do it. Look up parkour or free running. You would probably find it.
