Swift, please. They are taking out our empires for goodnesses sake. My empire uses electricity to power all of its stuff. Tech doesnt make you mortal but it severely cuts down on the options that we had! I suppose you dont exactly get this because your race is so primitive compared to par. We, however, have just had our communications cut, our ships and life support are down and we have no way to keep our empire connected. Without magic OR tech, our empires are crippled beyond imagining. AND thats just my organic empire. What about Hiro, whose Mechera use electronic systems to keep themselves in touch with the real world? If this 'event' goes into place then his characters are put into stasis, which is what I was going for in the other topic which you seemed not to realize.
Instead of complaining you should really try to recover. So what? If you just thought about it for a minute, you can make tech powered by things other than electricity. Look at my Audidracons. They are powered by liquid crystal. Yes, it's technically an AI group. But who cares? It does use electricity to an extent, yes. But they are still functional.

Warning- sarcasm:

Oh no! My uber powerful empire who primarily uses electricity to power their tech can't use it anymore! My fleets are stranded in space and are going to die there! And we can't move anywhere or communicate to any other beings!

Okay. So? Big setback. YOU CAN STILL DO SOMETHING. Wait. I know. The option you'll most likely take is 'Not posting'. Well. Sucks doesn't it? You have other options. So do many of the tech-powerful users out there. They're too lazy and 'OP-spoiled' to even do anything during these events. They just want the easy way to do things or no way. That's just not fun. Instead of sitting on your ass and complain about it, do something that might help your empire continue thriving.

---

Yes, I know my planet is very primitive in comparison. I did that for a reason. No, I did not foresee this event coming. It was dumb luck that I'm not really effected. Yay for me that tribes go around traditionally and haven't evolved into making light bulbs yet. I made it tribal for a reason. I hate most futuristic tech. Especially the requests here. I think it's ridiculous how much non-science was put into them. I hate most tech as it is. The most futuristic tech I'd want would be touch panels for art and a hover-board(as long as they work). That is really it.

----

Mechara would be stranded, sure. Just don't post in that topic unless you can manage to find a way to 'miraculously' invent a new item to still converse with them. Oh hey look, there's an idea! Either way, you can still do things. And Lyoko didn't make this 100% clear, but there IS a way to prevent ALPHA. So good luck. Do what you do. Post or don't post. Don't post and Alpha exists. Post and there may be a way to prevent Alpha from completing his attack. It's really simple if you think about it instead of complain.

Preferably the latter. Without you guys having any tech, I can probably conquer the galaxy by the end of the week. Just sayin'.

Guys... The only thing im going to say is suck it up, get over it, and deal with it. Everyone has the power to prevent Alpha. Hell, even the Mechera could seek him out in Cyberspace. So adapt, or die. It's the ultimately law of nature.

Alright, I wasn't going to bring this up because...Y'know, Im not actually sure why I wasn't going to bring it up. Maybe I was trying to think of a way around it like I usually do...But, well, eh, aside from MASSIVEA Deus Ex Machina thats probably gonna have to be metagaming or impossible now that I think of it there isn't any way. I suppose I could get over it if not for one thing:When you did this 'event', I was doing something on Elmora. The topic Frenzy if you didn't read it. Cap joined in because he had his fleet there, and long story short Elmora was going into withdrawal and the Marid evacuated all seven species of Elemental onto their ship. Which, I do believe you stated, now lacks any form of fucking life support. I know most races have internal magic but that doesn't do jack shit for the Elemental because they cant cast any spells like a 'oxygen independency' spell. They have never been able to because their magic is extremely specialized. And I dont know about you but Im doubtful anyone on that Marid ship has the materials nor the expertise to make a functioning atmospheric control system that doesn't rely on computers or software. Definately not before they run out of air and die. And Im NOT going to lose seven fucking species to a goddamn event that you dont even have to do any if it ICly, just 'lolzto this is whats going on kthxbai'. Its a very specialized situation, yeah, and I will honestly say I could deal with everything otherwise if not for that. I wouldn't post too much until it lets up or goes away because I honestly dont find all this too interesting to RP out but I could deal with it. But there is no way in hell Im losing seven races to fucking circumstance.

I would say as the topic came before the event, have it not affected until the ship had reached somewhere safe? Aka say it happened in the past.

We've only rarely treated topics that way, usually when someone isn't posting then another topic comes up and the topic is posted in again or its specified to take place in the past at the beginning. Besides that there isn't even a guarantee the Elementals even would leave the ship, since A: they cant go back to the surface, what with the tidal waves and earthquakes and whatnot, plus B:Their religions are very heavily influenced by the objects in their solar system(plus, yes, they are aware of how space works, they've had much contact with spacefaring races...Enough to know what their sun and moons happen to be physically). So its not like they'd accede to go live on another planet, not the Elemental Dark and Light anyways who literally worship the sun and moons(which are sentient blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda but they have basically no powers aside from a ability to communicate with each other somehow I haven't needed to explain). And the other races do view Elmora itself as a god, too, so Im unsure they'd avandon it even temporarily. I'll admit it is possible but I dont know how the topic's going to turn out either way.

L-Rage, so help me if you're telling me Im going to lose the Elementals because of a fucking event that I cant fight back against at all I'll ban myself after removing all of my stuff from play, territories and characters and races and everything inclusive. Iunno, maybe they'll fall into a Chaos Warp. Haven't done those for a while. Im not fucking joking about this, its not a little sacrifice to be made, and its the one term I WILL NOT budge over. The ONE thing. I can understand everyone's gonna lose stuff, but its TYPICALLY not quite as important to them as seven fucking species and empires that you've spent days detailing just how they use magic and running their very religion in your head to determine if, in fact, they would welcome new ideas or shun them from their society. Might as well ask Hikaru to give up the Sages or Nis to give up the Relorians. Its. Not. Fucking. Happening. Got it?

And i've also wiped out 1/4th of the Zarethians, decommissioned the DAIS, and countless other things... I get that you are probably taking one of the biggest, but that is only if you let that happen. Im fairly positive that they can be saved. Crash the fucking ship back into the planet, or something.

L-Rage, there's a reason they were being evacuated and its not because Elmora's under attack by a Empire. As I said in this topic, Elmora, which is addicted to magic, is in withdrawal. Tidal waves, earthquakes, natural disasters abound x10. The planet is not safe. Besides that point, it isn't my ship anyways, its Cap's. Now, I dont think he'd value a ship over seven races, doesn't seem tp be his character's personality but I dont honestly know his character's personality. No offense, Cap, but you did say that the Marid would kill and take the place of a child just to learn what its like to grow up in that society. I have thought a lot of the options through, dont think I haven't. Maybe not all but a lot of them. Escape pods, they'd either die on the surface or starve in the pods(Marid dont eat and wouldn't be likely to have food in the pods). Crash the ship into the water, it'll probably eithet break open and flood or it'd remain sealed completely shut against vacuum since they dont have computers and suffocate. I will admit that it isn't a fact that the Elemental wouldn't agree to leave their home system but it'd be metagaming to just have them agree out if nowhere because of my knowledge. While I can see a few fun RPs blossoming from tgeir life in a new land I dont see them just agreeing to leave. And L-Rage, honestly? The DAIS are decommissioned for until Alpha's gone and over with. Its not like every last one of them will be deleted or that their ships will be gone or destroyed, they can just take their ships back once this is over.

You could have something completely chaotic happen to botch some attempted technological teleportation or something that was attempted at the exact moment technology stopped working, which would botch whatever you tried to do. A botch would mean automatic FORCED teleporation (doesn't matter if there's no magic) to Deletrius!

Just  a suggestion.

Hik your idea could work, if they teleport. Not quite entirely likely, but wont discount it, thank you for helping and giving me clever ideas and negotiating. I do appriciate this.

IDEA
L-Rage, his entire motivation is he's disgusted with Organics fighting and killing each other with technology, so he's taking it away, right? So why would he doom millions of people to death via suffocation? Dont tell me he wouldn't have thought of it, I know he would, he's a AI they'resmarterthanthat. What I propose is...Why shut down Life Support? Presumably he can put a full on lockdown on everything else while still allowing access and operation of Life Support systems, wouldn't he? Given that he's appatently able to hack computing systems of species both technologically older than he is and from another dimension, his mastery of code would be almost perfect.  If its possible, which Im betting it is, why woukd he kill them all when he's trying to bring peace?

It doesn't have to JUST be teleporation. Deletrius is the land of contradiction. Of lost, botched, and deleted things. Even just a malfunction aboard the ship when tech goes that creates a small contradiction would send them all to Deletrius. Use your imaaaagination.

By all means, it is a good idea and had not occurred to me at all Hik. If L-Rage doesn't assent to my idea then, I will admit, that is something I can fall back on. Still, though, why WOULD the peaceAIperson kill everything? Its a question I've gotta ask, and honestly if this works out-either of them, honestly- then I haven't a problem as current to voice on this event.

What show? I didn't get that line from a show.

And people you forget one other thing. INTERNAL MAGIC IS NOT DISABLED. So yes you would live in space, create to preserve oxygen within the body and to heat the body or even preserve your body. Hope is not lost, you just need to use your mind when it comes to all of this. And for the last resorts there is spirit energy.

That could quite possibly happen.

INTERNAL MAGIC IS NOT DISABLED. So yes you would live in space, create to preserve oxygen within the body and to heat the body or even preserve your body. Hope is not lost, you just need to use your mind when it comes to all of this. And for the last resorts there is spirit energy.

Thought I adressed this, unless you dont mean me...Elementals are cripplingly overspecialized. I never thought I'd need to do something like this with them, and keeping with the 'Elemental' thing they have very, very little ability to use magic outside their respective elemental proficiencies...Which includes generic spells, unfortunately. As for SE, I dont think almost anyone knows how to use that. '>>

FOr the Elementals, the water/air based ones could very easily use their magic to turn their own lungs (or similar organs) into magical devices that pull the oxygen from carbon dioxide, just as plants would. Hell, the earth ones could probably do that too, assuming they have an affinity with plants. If not, then whichever Elemental does have that affinity.

EVERYONE needs to stop bitching and start thinking. Stop complaining.  Just shut the hell up and get shit done.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

No, seriously fuck this. Im sorry you guys but this is a dumb as hell event and its just jumping off the edge. I will not participate, rather, you know what? I might as well just say that due to the shutfdown of all computing technology, all my planets explode. Hows that for a happy ending? :D

It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew
